Title: How long before I can\'t find a DC?

I\'m really impressed with the DC and at $99 I think it absolutely warants a purchase. My only problem is that I live in Mexico (the Latin American market is non existent to Sega) and I only visit the US around the Christmas holidays. Do you think there will still be consoles on the shelves by the 2001 holiday season? I don\'t want a used system, if at all possible.

I dont think so, the last DCs are appearing on the shelves right  now, go to ebay or gamestop and order one!

Are they getting kind of scarce by now?
If so then I\'m definitely going to have to order online or arrange to have a friend get one for me...

no they are not scarese but by christmas time the shops tend to remove "The not so selling well stuff" with the hot stuff ie; xbox and ps2.

Yeah I agree. There are tons of them now, but soon enough they\'ll either drop in price and then sell really fast, or store\'s will sell off their inventory to other places. You\'re best bet is to order one in the next few months off the net.

DC is well worth the purchase and you certainly didn\'t have to wait until it got to $99 to pick one up. It was definitely worth the price at $200. Pick up a Smash Pack DC is you can find one. Only $20 more.

I heard that the sound on the Smash Pack sucks really badly but I\'m considering buying a Brand new DC but never actually use it just to have one.

Yes, the sound on the Smash Pack is pretty bad. I don\'t remember the effects being this cheesy on the Genesis. Probably just a poor emulator.

And what do you mean by buying a DC but never actually use it just to have one?
