hi!

sorry if I sound like an ad.
I got the Cambridge Soundworks Playstation DTT2500 Digital.  This thing rocks! it has 5.1 surround (it isnt real 5.1 it is an emulator but it works just as well).  I have my VCR and my PS2 hooked up to it!  My ps2 is hooked up through the optical cable....man does it sound much better than my Stereo that I have.  I dont even have the 2 rear ones hooked up yet for true dolby digital(need to get a shelf........dont want to drill monster holes in the wall to mount them). Ffor $250 USD it is a good deal!  One small hint......on the monster cable Optical cable the plastic thing on the tips are not part of the cable........they are a plastic cap....I found out the hard way........


just my 2 bucks....I have to pay the tax on 2 cents dont I?

Thats phat I just got a new sound system too... but its not goin up until we built our new room, should be done in about 2 weeks or less. Its a $500 sony I think.. I dunno my dad got it... Anyway...

I have a ques... I want to connect my TV AND my PS2 to the Surround Sound when we hook it up and how would I do that??? I know I can connect the regular AV cables to the TV and I want to connect the optical thing to the PS2... BUT WHERE DO I GET AN OPTICAL CABLE THAT CONNECTS TO THE PS2\'S OPTICAL OUT AND  THE RECIEVERS?

(Sorry for caps just wanted to make sure they saw my ques, lol)

if the stereo system has an optical (fiber optic, not coax)in you are in luck get the Monster Cable LightWave 100 Fiber optic audio cable and use it. It is only 30 bucks and it is 10 feet.  if you dont.....I dunno.  hope this helps.

it is.....I watched Mallrats (I love the Kevin Smith Movies) and it sounds waaay different than with just Left and right....boy does dolby 5.1 make a difference :)   What PS2 games use dolby 5.1?  I know bouncer does......anything else?  I have been lookng for somehting with optical digital in for the PS2 and I found a gem!  the folks dont like it with the subwoofer all the way up :(

I went looking for a new TV and decided against it.....dont know why.....I was looking at the Wegas but couldnt find one with S-video that would fit my Entertainment center
