Ubi Soft this morning announced the latest addition to the popular Rayman franchise: Rayman M. The title, which is scheduled for PlayStation 2, PC and Xbox, utilizes Rayman 2\'s environments and characters for fast-paced four-player versus action.
According to Ubi Soft Germany, Rayman M opens up a new dimension in multiplayer gaming (hence the letter "M" in ythe title), set in Rayman 2\'s environments. Players can slip into the role of Rayman or countless other characters from the series, such as Ly, the fairy, or Globox. The gameplay basics are described as multiplayer combat using traps and staple platform abilities, such as running, jumping, climbing, skidding, flying and shooting.
Rayman M will be available this November for PC and PlayStation 2. An Xbox version is planned for 2002. A GameCube version has not been announced yet.
The game will be shown off for the first time at this year\'s E3 in Los Angeles in May 2001.

Now this is a game to wait for! I truly love Rayman: Revolution, and still play it sometimes, after a good 40 hours of playing :)
The E3 -show will be really interesting - and this surprise-news of Rayman M makes it even more hard-to-wait phomenon... The good thing is, that my little-sister absolutely worships Rayman, and is ready to buy Rayman M when it comes out.
