Seriously, there is goin\' to be bad lookin\' games on any system. All MS can do is focus on quality control, something Sony didn\'t focus on ever. Hopefully, MS will.. But, I truly doubt it.

Post by: Saotome on April 21, 2001, 09:21:29 AM: First of all, that probably isn\'t even the final version of the game (which is called "Bounty Hunter" BTW), and I have seen other screenshots from the game that look spectacular. It also looks better than PSX games, and is slightly better-looking than Perfect Dark.

Second, it will probably be a very fun game. I mean... did Dragon Quest VII for the Playstation utilize the system\'s power. The answer is no, but it still got rave reviews from Famitsu (Dragon Quest is HUGE in Japan).

So, I\'ll reiterate on the fact that these are probably not final versions, so don\'t start your "bashing" yet.

so i hold nothing against it - plus all games look like **** in the begginging

Army men air attacks 2, Knock out kings, NBA Live2001, shall I go on? Don\'t use standards on one console you can\'t use on another. Every game for a console can\'t be stellar. So if your going to judge at least judge fair and know what your talking about.

Post by: Hawke on April 22, 2001, 11:41:16 PM: All the screenshots of Bounty Hunter look quite, well, not bad, but somehow a bit bland. I\'m not giving my final opinion until I see the game moving. Red Faction doesn\'t look like much in screens either, but after watching half a dozen movies of the game it instantly became one of the top 3 games I have to purchase in the near future.

Bounty Hunter seems to have some nice ideas too (non-linear plot, when you accept a mission you first have to jump in your spaceship and fly to the location in question [not really innovations though, just adding some old elements into the FPS genre]), but (imo) nowhere near as interesting as RF\'s GeoMod-system.

Never judge a book by its cover, or a game by its screenshots. Medal of Honor, for example, looks absolutely horrible (the enemies\' weapon\'s are 2D pancakes for crying out loud!), but that doesn\'t matter because the game itself is amazingly immersive and fun.
