Title: Question about time zones.
Post by: Solid Snake 88 on April 21, 2001, 11:26:18 PM
I need help, if something is going to happen at 2pm Eastern, and I\'m on Pacific time, what time is that for me? Whats the difference?

Yes I know, I\'m stupid.

3 hours, 2 pm eastern is 11 am pacific/western.

Untill we all switch to "swatch" time that is.  Now that we have global instant communication, the need for time zones is greatly diminished.  It\'s the latest idea, 20 hours day, with 100 minutes per hour, 100 ticks per minute... ya never know, maybe it\'ll catch on in 20 or 30 years, heheheh.

I doubt that will ever catch on. Its like trying to teach the USA the metric system(they just don\'t get it).

Also there is something wrong with the forum time settings.
I live in a GMT+1 zone, but to get the correct time I have to set the forum time to GMT+7.
