ok i need to know how many of you have used gamestop.com,as i am thinking of buyin an American PS2,what i want to know is,was it a good company to deal with?how much as aal the shipping?
Also if i buy a ps2 bundle for $399,then i have to pay for it from my credit card here in england,will it be converted into english pounds?so say the bundle is $399 and the exchange rate is 1.40 then that would mean that the bundle would cost me 285 english pounds is that right?

I see where your heading with this one ethan.

Im not sure on gamespot personally but I was reading some information on http://www.hsbc.co.uk, it says online orders with credit cards are charged in UK pounds after being covertered with the exchange rate. You may also be subject to pay VAT.

Im beginning to agree with you. If I could sell my PS2 now for about £250 I will of lost out on the deal but I will have had my PS2 since christmas so not really lost out. I then could buy an American PS2 and get games early. :)

Be warned you will get next to no warentee, I think the Americans get 90 days instead of a year.

Let me know how it goes though.

Yes i will keep my UK PS2 for online games and dvd\'s,but i just want the other games early,why should we have to wait.
So with the exchange rate thing,was i right in that is how much it would convert into?

Ok thanks for the link RichGUK,so what it is saying is i will still be paying the US price,which will be cheaper then buy a ps2 in the uk.

Yeah pretty much.

Just watch out for hidden charges like VAT at customs or P&P.

So you really going through with getting a second PS2 just for american games ?

Yeah i really think i am going to do it,but i am going to see if i can get one when i go out in america,florida in june,if i carnt get one then i will get one when i get back,because the games are still going to come out first there,and if they do,do anything about the game release here hopefully they will do it before i go out there,and let us all know about it.

Are you going to do anything about an american PS2?

One more thing it will be for games and DVD\'S.They get there dvd quicker there too.

I\'ve done business with Gamestop, in fact my Launch PS2 was from them and delivered on Oct 26 as advertised

I\'d recommend them, not sure about the overseas issues though
