But supposedly ICQ numbers are very easy to steal. So the lucky ones who got very low and easy to remember numbers have had them stolen.

It\'s the same as AOL\'s IM or Microsoft\'s  MSN Messenger.  It\'s better though than the others.  IT allowed you to upload files years ago when everyone else would just let you chat.  I haven\'t messed with it in a while though.  I need to reinstall it on this computer.

Here it is if you don\'t already have it.

I think that most of the stealing problems were in earlier, less secure builds.  They\'re generally supposed to be easiest to steal if you are constantly going on and offline, and you have a lot of TRUE personal info (so the peep can track you down and monitor your comp\'s login).  In my case, my computer hasn\'t been off in about 2 years, and I reboot about 2-3 times a month, so I never go offline :D .

Anybody who forgot that they used to be on ICQ, your account will still be there after years, and since the numbers are up to over 100 million, it\'s worth it to try and remember your old password...

Anybody who is on the internet a lot and doesn\'t have ICQ???  What dead sites and boards have you been surfing too?!?!?

Actually, I recall AOL buying ICQ. :p

What are everyone\'s messenger dealies?

For me:

AIM: (http://www.aim.com)
emfourx

MSN Messenger: (http://messenger.msn.com)
M4_Mike@hotmail.com

ICQ: (http://www.icq.com)
111661947

On a related note.. there is a program called Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc) that is Yahoo Messenger, AIM, MSNM, and ICQ in one program. It saves on hard RAM if you use multiple programs like me :)
