well not really but i think that a good song would be Staind\'s "Mudshovel" or Mabye even Blur\'s "Song 2"

Actually is was his AUTObiography. Called The long hard road out of hell. I do think that most of the songs these kids chose do suck. Can you do better? I actually like the fight song.

I never suggested that we listen to the song during the time we are playing, but we need a motivating song, you know a song everyone can get fimiliar with. I know I listen to music when I come to this site, so why not?

actually it isn\'t really that hard to learn those songs if you have just a tiny bit of knowledge of how to play the guitar - i taught my self how to play the guitar and drums over the summer and i can play some Limp Bizkit songs fairly easily

No I don\'t play guitar, always been the drummer of the bands I was in. I\'ve listened to LB and while, at first, their stuff is nice and violent in a skater/punk trashy kinda way with a few tribal metal rhythms thrown in the mix, you eventually (after 10 minutes) come to the conclusion that these things alone don\'t make for a great band, and especially, their one "talented" guitarist can\'t carry the entire band to greatness.
I can appreciate the generation gap here, and that the stuff I listen to isn\'t what you younger folks consider cutting edge, but I also have to come to the conclusion that experience gives one a better ear for scrutiny, granted not in all cases though. I propose that you listen to a few albums, keeping in mind the level of musical abillity it would take to play it, and judging it on its compositional merit regardless of whether or not you like the music as a whole, and you may just see my point of view on this whole Limp business.
Again, the idea here is to decide on whether you think LB could pull this stuff off and how easily you think these bands could pull off LB stuff. Hopefully you\'ll actually listen to these albums and gain a greater perspective of what heavy metal can be.
These albums are in constant rotation on my CD player, in no particular order:
1. Operation: Mindcrime ~ Queensryche
2. Them and/or Abigail ~ King Diamond
3. Transcendence ~ Crimson Glory
If you want to hear great guitar work, there\'s a nice list to choose from. All of the guitars on those albums is top notch, and in some places (if you really are a guitar music fan) you\'ll be forced to shout out "F\'Kin A!" Something else these albums have in common is the excellent rhythm sections. All these drummers work hard for the money and possess some of the best chops you\'ll hear in metal.
If you absolutely have no access to any of these albums and really are interested in hearing them, PM me and I\'ll send you parts of them, and since the Crimson Glory is out of print now, I can send you an entire copy of that album to listen to.
