EGM gave GT2 all 10\'s when it clearly didn\'t deserve it because of the bugs, and the missing mode. But they did anyway, and I wasn\'t too thrilled with it.

Weekly Famitsu uses a four-reviewer system, allowing each to score games on a 1 through 10 scale, with 10 being the best. They then add the four totals and report the composite score, with the maximum score possible being 40.

I think 35-40 points earns a game a platinum award in Famitsu, or, well, not sure about that, and I don\'t care to go looking for info on this matter right now. Anyway, those are some exceptionally high scores. Not many games have done better in a Famitsu review. Damn, still mo\' waitin\' for us europeans.

Vagrant Story got a 40/40 from Famitsu

a score of 36-40 is Platinum

33-35 is Gold

30-32 is silver

Post by: Stupid Mop on April 25, 2001, 03:31:55 PM: I got told that the "9" came from one reviewers complaint to do with the steering wheel that was designed for GT3.
But since that has nothing to do with the game I dont know why they complained about that.

I dont know if it\'s true. Just heard it on the ign boards. But those boards are so boring now. And are filled with fanboys.

Post by: Bobs_Hardware on April 26, 2001, 01:35:21 AM: only 3 games have ever gotten a perfect 40 (Soul Calibur, Vagrant Story, and one of the Zeldas i think) so 39 is a fricken unbelievable score, especailly for a game limited to just driving around a big track :)
