Some people on GA forums are tearing this demo a new A-Hole:( I hope they\'re full of it.

I signed up for the demo also. I hope it\'s waiting for me when I get home:)

Then again, the mail hasn\'t come yet either (today at least). So, I\'m hoping that once the mail comes, I will have the RF demo!

As for the thread at GA Forums, if your expecting a spectacular game, sounds like you would be dissappointed. However, the flame war that degraded that topic didn\'t help my pre-demo opinion much. Perfectly good threads going down in flames. Gotta love it. :rolleyes:

I looked at that forum today,i use to post there ,but could stand it for long,they are all assholes,well most of them.
There forum is going down soon,hope most of them dont come to this forum,because i love this forum the way it is.
I wouldnt take any notice of what they say,because most of them hate the ps2,but in saying that i havent heard great things about it lately.

Who of you guys know a Page, where they´ve tested the FINAL Vers. of the game??!?!?!
I want to know if it also has major slowdowns...

The demo is cool but there is slow down when there is alot of guys on screen like 5 or 6 and its to short

well i played the demo and it is very cool, ddaryl i live in AZ, and i got 2 demos, i dont thnik we canmail them outside of the U.S. for people cause of the codeing, like regional disks, it wouldnt work on euro. or jap. PS2\'s

I got mine today


Negatives:

Noticeable framrate. After playing ZOE and Onimusha 30FPS sticks out and is very very noticeable

Slowdown was minimal but I was on easy mode the 1st time

There is a real lame ass low polygon martian whale.

Character animations are stiff



Positives:

The game is cool, in the demo I operated a turret blew up the enviroment, operated a sub, confronted another sub and whale, took on some giant robot thing and blew up lots of people

In other words a nice variety of things.

Some of the graphics look really cool, (other whales look lame)

The story line should be interesting but you get a very little taste of it in the demo.


Overall I believe most people will enjoy the game when its released, there will definetly be complainers though. Red Faction will follow in the Summoners footsteps in a way. Lots of potential for a AAA game but fall short for similar reasons.

I do believe though that Red Faction will be technically superior to Volitions The Summoner which will probably allow Red Faction to be a better game then the Summoner when the final grades are handed out.
