Any news as to when this will be available? I heard they were shipping new DVD drivers with it to, is that true?

I\'ve not heard any news about the release date but I can confirm that the new dvd drivers will be supplied with it because they will need to update the drivers to make use of the extra buttons/facilities they have added!

wonder why it has taken more that 4 months to make a uk one, the japs got this in december

Probably because they have got to find a way to the drivers to work on the uk machine.because the dvd players are different on the jap and uk one.

only on the original batch os ps2s in japan tho, the newer ones are hardware, in which case does that mean that the jap remote only works with the orig jap model?

The Sony remote control is great but not very comfortable because of the little buttons.

The sony remote looks cool. I\'ve always liked it since seeing the pics of the JAP one. Also these DVD drivers are promising as well.

We, in the UK are getting the remote 4 months after the japanese because, well, we get everyhting four months after the japanese!!
