Anyone remember the psx yaroze, with the advent of the ps2linux system could we see somthing like this on the cards soon?
It would be cool to be able to make our own games but unfortunatly these games would probably only be playable on other ps2 yaroze machines just like the orig.

no you can make these games on your ps2, the demo disk that came with the ps2 has something on it so you can write your own games, but youll need to buy a keyboard and mouse thing, otherwise it will take ages to write them out. there are some websites that tell you codes for making games, ill write them in when i find the magazine they are in:D

thats half true, you can make games, but its QBASIC man well the equivilant i guess. I remember the old days when i wrote lil calculators and flashy colour things in qbasic

no, it\'s yabasic, but it all comes down to the same thing I guess.

I think I might make my own racing game...

cool :)
maybe when this linux for ps2 comes out we\'ll be able to make and upload our own open source games that way

The YABasic provided with the ps2 is similar to qbasic in language but the functionality is considerably less powerful! You can\'t make anything decent out of the code libraries supplied with the YA Basic on the utility disc!
