Title: pretty smart question here :)
Post by: jp6666 on April 27, 2001, 04:43:35 PM
when we watch movies on GT3 ! wow they are so nice and all .. but we see it on a small screen ! so the resolution is very high! so my question is for most of the people that played it !  does it look like the videos we see or the game has a way lower resolution and we can see pixels everywhere ! ? thanks :)

The movies that you download are played at extremely slow framerates (less than 30 fps), so it will look a lot better on a TV just because of that.  I don\'t know about that resolution question though.

Movies don`t do the game justice. The game resolution appears to be standard 640x480, none of this wacky 640x240 like in Ridge Racer V. The framerate is a constant 60fps unlike the movies which would be capped at 30. Not sure if there is Anti-Aliasing in the final game, maybe someone can clarify this?

In my demo of the game, It\'s an early version, It looks awesome. you cant see pixels anywhere.

It\'s stunning to look at. Even when you drive up close to scenery you cant really see any pixels.

Yeah pretty much. You will see alot more detail when it is running on a tv than what you see in the movies, plus a much higher framerate.

It\'s not full screen anti aliasing but a special way that makes the graphic better. (I know it\'s bad english)

Most MPEGS are like 230x300 res or something, so they are in fact, LOWER, they are just smaller, thats all.

GT3 will look like DA BOMB, trust me.
