in favor of a completely original Bond game for the PlayStation 2.

But seriously, Perfect Dark looks suprisingly good next to it. Take a look at these N64 shots and see what kind of efforts EA put into this game so far.

Anyhoo, I honestly hope that EA does something nice with this upcoming 007 game. Goldeneye really set the standards for Bond games and EA can\'t seem to break them yet. Maybe this game will finally bring some life back to the Bond series...the racing feature sounds cool since they got guys from NFS working on that part. :)

/me wonders why Rare didn\'t keep the Bond liscense... :(

hey those are some pretty bad screens, I have seen better ones, sniff :( why?...this was one of the big ps2 title i was looking foward to..why did they cancel it?...:(

1) I\'m sure/I hope the graphics get a lot better.

2) Comparing it to those perfect dark screens, well... you should have used the same size pic to make it fair.

3) I\'m glad they scrapped sticking to the movie - It has it\'s plusses and minuses, but overall, I think an original story will work out better.

Yes but then it would only run at 10fps instead of the 60+ that its running at now :0)

p.s I admit that it does look like a top end N64 game. Why couldn\'t Sony have put at least 8MB of VRAM in the PS2, life would be so much better.

pffft, it has slowdown man, i bought this game the first day it came out, and i must say it chewed up 007 pooped him out and asked for more, this game is the best action ont he N64, but it has its slowdown, and those pic of the new 007 game are just barely released, theyw ill get better, just like every other game that releases its screen early in prodution, it will look good

Not to mention, by the time TWINE would\'ve been out, the movie it was based on will be so old, it will not even be funny. Heck, the next Bond movie would probably be in the pipeline by that time.

Thanks a lot. I almost peed my pants ( well - I would have, if I wouldn\'t have taken a leak just before I entered this forum :) ). The thread title informed that they officially cancelled TWINE, ok, they did. But I thought PS2 wouldn\'t get a Bond-game.

I am RELIEFED to see it\'s a completely new game - as they have limitless possibilities now...

thats ok then :D.

what i say is if they kept the movie tie in then most of the plot would alredy be known and have veryfew suprises, take Goldeneye for example their was no suprises on who to trust or not in the game.

a new game title will add mote atmosphere to the game yeah :D.

I found the first paragraph of DR\'s preview of this game to be quite humerous...

True, but that\'s the size IGN64 uses so I couldn\'t find any pics the same size. But the similarities between the two are still obvious...

not the PS2 ,Xbox or GC !

why do i say that well you can\'t get the support that you do for the PC, take Halflife for example.

for that we have the following great mods

Counter Strike
Team Fortress Classic
FireArms
Day Of Defeat !


so i think to say that Perfect Dark 2 willbe a Great game but it won\'t alter the way we look at FPS.

thats For Doom 3 and TFC2 to do ;).

Yeah Baby!!  DOOM 3!  I can\'t wait!  I heard to fully get the most out of Doom 3, you should get a G Force3 video card.  How much will the G Force 3 cost?
