Which of these movies are your favorite?
i like Gladiator cuz the action and storyline while i like braveheart cuz the drama and storyline as well. but if i had to pick it would have to be gladiator.
-
I like Gladiator more, Russel Crowe is awesome
-
yeah russel crowe is awesome!!!!
-
I think Braveheart was a great movie. Lots of actions. :D
-
Both are amazing movies, and I own both DVDs - but Gladiator (hmm... I\'m wondering if I should say this....) didn\'t make me cry like Braveheart did the first time. I think they\'re both amazing, but you feel a lot more for William Wallace\'s repeated betrayals and tradgedies.
-
I hate both movies. Big suprise, eh?
-
Gladiator, hands down. An overall better presentation; production value, casting, and a decent story tip the scale. After being subjected to Leathal Weapon 4, old Mel will never be the same in my books.

What did i expect from EThugg, no suprise here
-
EThugg pretty much hates everything. they r both excellent movies, its true that gladiator didnt make me cry but its still a good movie.
-
Majin, you just spoiled it for those who didn\'t see the movie! YOU ****!!!!
-
Hmm, that\'s a difficult choice. Both are top-notch movies IMO. Even though they\'re alike, they\'re very much different. (Did that even make sense?)
Anyhow who cares, just buy both. :)

- the trick is to keep breathing.
Both movies got to me in one way or the other. Unfortunately I knew what happened @ the end of Braveheart thanks to a moronic friend. (I won\'t say cause I don\'t like to spoil)
-
well gladiator is pretty much a take off of Braveheart
i mean the story goes right along with it almost exactly - but Braveheart is much better to me becuase i liked the characters a lot more and the story was damn cool too- plus Braveheart was "Original"
-
c\'mon i dont know anybody who has not seen braveheart!!!

yea but it the whole what if principal about it ya know
i would be mad if someone told me the ending of that movie before i saw it
-
Braveheart had a better storyline IMO
both we\'re cool and being in the Arena , or that opening battle scene was amazing when you cranked up your Dolby Digital system. I could feel the power of the arena,
-
The more mideival violence I get, the better my day is.
That being said, I still find it hard to top that scene in Braveheart where Mel Gibson busts up in that dude\'s bedroom on horseback and pounds his face with a big-ass ball-and-chain.
Daymn! That was awesome.
-
Braveheart is easily better, Gladiator shouldn\'t even have been nominated for the Academy Awards. Russel Crowe winning was a joke, he only won it because he should have won the year before for The Insider.
-
Braveheart definatly! I\'m a sucker for Scotland and everything related to it, so Braveheart is one of my all time favorites. Gladiator was really cool as well, but it had a more... "sterile" feel to it.
FREEEEEEEEDOM! :D
-
They may take our lives, But they\'ll never take.. Our FREEEEDOOOOM.
Ahh it brang a tear to my eye.. not..
I pretty much like them both the same.. They both had the same type of message. :)
-
Braveheart sure. This one of the best films on the history. It´s my best after THE ONE: MATRIX ;)
-
The Patriot rules all. God bless America, and death to the Redcoats:)
-
Definitely Braveheart- much bigger production values, better storyline (it\'s 100% accurate- what a concept!!!), MUCH more extras, and no cheesy-looking CG backdrops.
Also, Braveheart was more relentless and sinister, conveyed more emotion, and had me damn near crying a couple times.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ashford and I have not seen Braveheart. Thank you and have a nice day.
-
As for which movie to get...
NEITHER!!! RUN RIGHT OUT AND GET YOURSELF A COPY OF BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD DO AMERICA!!!
:P
:D :D :D
-
Well, it\'s a hard choice - they\'re both REALLY good, but in the end, perhaps I would take Gladiator, as I found Braveheart too long all in all.
Gladiator just hits the subject wich interests me - Gladiators - and has VERY good soundtrack and acting is brilliant.
-
Gladiator is the best one IMO. This movie is freaking great when used with a Dolby Digital system.
-
Yes I agree. The Gladiator in DTS is Phenomenal! Ahhh DTS.....
-
both movies are really good in surround sound!!!

Ah that\'s exactly what I think too. That\'s why I don\'t feel bad about him winning best actor. The Insider was absolutely brilliant.
Neither film should have won Best Picture though. Apollo 13 should have won in 1995, and Traffic should have won this year.

Gladiator\'s story was super thin and weak.
I have no idea why so many people loved this movie. To me it was good, but just that...good.
The best parts were the reconstructed Rome scenes. Hot damn that was cool!
In any case, even though Braveheart was a gross misjustice to history, it was by FAR the better movie.
LOL Gladiator made me laugh when the EMPORER fought in the arena. If the emporer of Rome was planning something as dopey as fighting in the arena with a gladiator, he would have been assassinated looong before he got into the ring.
Nyuk nyuk nyuk... Gladiator! :D
-
both are equal
-
Close fight but i pick Braveheart.
This is because most of the times the good and bad forces had equivalent millitary strength .
And i love the strategy portrayed in this movie,
especially the one where heavy cavalry troopers defeated by long sticks.
Another was the Irish turncoat tricks, where they supported the Scots at the last minute.
The flanking Scotts on the first battle.
-
I love Gladiators opening battle, that was one hell of a battle!!! :D
