I\'m asking this because I have a bunch of VCD movies and I was curious to know if the PS2 can play VCD movies without modifiying the hardware.
-
nope, not out of the box anyway...
-
I\'m really hoping they\'ll change that, with a driver upgrade, but tt won\'t play VCDs. Probably due to the piracy of movies on VCD, but still, for legitimate wants, I have to use my comp :(.

You can but not legally. Theres a thing you can do to VCDs to make them play in the PS2 but it requires some software which is copyrighted by Sony making it illegal for use. I think that even with this software you only get 30 minutes playback.

I haven“t heard about it till now... what program?
