yeah yeah...F*ck me for nostalgic but i\'ve just been playing my absolute favourite game of all time and was wondering what yours is, I know this has probably been asked a gabillion times...
but i\'m asking it this time so you can sit there and reminise about some of the best videogames ever with me or ***** about how this topic has been done to death...I prefer you choose the first option.
Anyways, my favourite game...without a question of a doubt FF7. The thing that makes this game so close to me is when I first played it I had just gotten a PSX so I knew NOTHING about all its hype and nothing about how well loved it was. I just thought it was another game...little did I know...
-
duh ff7 too, this is getting a bit repetitive
-
Resident Evil!!!!
That game is the best one ever.
-
I saw a thread like this on main forum yestrerday, CYpreSS, but it\'s okay :)
I\'m rather nostalgic, and my most favourite game must be - tada! - Lemmings. No matter what, that game has had the best first impressions ever and I\'ve spent a lot of time to it [ much more than to any other computer-game ]. Probably far over 300 hours...!!!
And it has had me hooked for 8 years, as I\'m still desperate on completing it and I won\'t stop \'til I have seen the end of the last level. I have breaks every now and then [ they\'re up from month to half a year sometimes ], but after the breaks I play like madman again :)
-
Always is and always will be FFVII (i spend 700 hours on this game :D )
FFVII 4ever
-
Radiant Silvergun for Saturn!!!!!!!!!!
-
The first game I\'ve ever beat without cheating....... Metal Gear Solid...
-
FFVII sure
-
yeah!!! FF7 kicks!!! i spent over 100 hrs playingand i still cant beat the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all of those materia are really pissing me off, especially knights of the round.
-
Lol I hate to addmit but I don\'t know one of those games because before I got my PSX and PC you can basically say I was videogame illiterate.
My 2nd fave game was RE2 and hopefully someday I hope to play ALL the old final fantasies, that would make my day.
Falcon have u still not beat it?
-
Phantasy Star II (and some PSIV). Gotta be that one... I still play it all the time!
-
Mine would be System Shock 2.
All kinds of genres mixed into a perfect brew.
-
Super Mario World. Nuff Said! :)
-
lol mario rocks too...My own mother got me to play games when I was a kid.
I remember being 6 years old and staying up until midnight (hey that was late for me back then) just playing mario with my mom. Ahhh good times
-
I can\'t say, I have had so many.
My favorites are tied.
Super Metriod.
Ninja Gaiden
Mario 3
CastleVania:SOTN
Super Street Fighter 2
Resident Evil
;)
-
Final Fantasy VII is my fav and probably only another final fantasy game could top it!!!
-
The whole Quest for Glory series. Don\'t ask me to pick just one, cause there\'s no way in hell I could.
-
hmm... there\'s a few
Zelda II: The adventures of link
Double Dragon 2
Super Mario bros. 3
Super Metroid
Tekken 2, and
FF7 are all in there tied for top contention...
it\'s hard to compare them, because of the change in gaming since i was little, i grew up on the first three games...
other games that come close are
Zelda III: A link to the past
Zelda:OoT
Zelda: MM
Teenage mutant ninja turtles II (top action that)
Super mario world
Street Fighter 2
FF9
Perfect dark
ahhh that\'s all i can name for now, but there\'s a lot more
-
Radiant Silvergun (fav) (Saturn)
Nights 2 (Saturn)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Super Mario Kart (SNES)
Turrican (SNES)
Resident Evil 1&2 (PS)
System Shock 2 (but very difficult) (PC)

Me and Gradman are on the same page, gamewise.
Defender--got up to level 78 and had to stop to do chores. BUMMER.
Berserk(sp?)--first game to creep me out. The relentless "Invincible" seriously gave me nightmares.
Star Commander--warm fuzzy.
Cosmic Avenger--fantabulous.
Double Dragons I and II in both the arcade AND NES.
Ninja Gaiden--I even drew comics of this game, it inspired me so much.
TMNT II on the NES.--I remember me and my buddy stayin up really late and pissing off my dad with this one, even though we were "too old to be playing that ****".
Zelda II--took me months to beat, and when I finally did beat it, my mom had NO idea I was playing it upstairs in our game room. I let out a triumphant shriek and she nearly pissed herself.
Street Fighter II--the mother of all favorite games. Got it for 20 bucks right after release, and got my money\'s worth outta it. This was the reason I got my SNES.
FF2 and 3--both great. Both epic.
Zelda 3--still get shivers when I pick up the Master Sword.
Warhawk--First game on PSX AND PS2. Made sure to honor my PS2 with this great game.
Marvel Super Heroes--I musta pissed everyone off with my incessant rantings about how much I loved this game, and how pissed off I was about the massive delays in the PSX release. Even though it sucked donkey nuts (Emp.Rob), I still loved it \'cause it was MSH, and it was free after I bought it. And yeah, I got my money\'s worth.
Resident Evil--I had nightmares about this game. It was superbly suspenseful. Pristene in my mind\'s eye.
Everquest--not a console game, but gives me a warm fuzzy when I think about the first time I played it (after that, I have feelings of frustration, but when I first got into it...WOW).
NHL \'94--best hockey game, hands down, on the SNES.
NHL Faceoff \'97--Made my own team featuring the likes of Paco De****o, Bunches O\'Punches and Lord Creamy and a slew of other names that STILL make me chuckle. (I\'m so witty, and handsome to boot!)
Prince of Persia--Love/Hate. Pain in the butt, but still a great game.
Tenchu--LOVED the ninja stealth theme. The quintessential ninja game. A MUST have.
MGS--THE stealth game. One ninja, but, still a great game.
These games ALL give me great joy when I play(ed) or think about them. All of them are fantastic in their own rights. Sorry for the long ass list, but, oh well, I\'m sure you\'ll get over it! :D
-
ahh some oldies but goodies definately
-
My favorite would have to be Zelda 3: A link to the past. I was twelve years old when it came out and it was the first real game that I beat. I felt so proud when I finally finished it. No strategy guides/cheats/help. It brings back so many memories when I think about this game. This game is what turned me on to the whole zelda series. i played the original and thought it was cool; but I didn\'t have an NES. By time I got one Zelda was passe. I played Zelda 2 but I didn\'t like it at all.
I can not wait to play Zelda on the Gamecube. I love Nintendo\'s games and all but the real reason I am buying a gamecube is so I can play Zelda when it finally comes out.
BTW, Sorry about the mini-rant.
-
WHEN it finally comes out...... :)
-
well i have said it before and i will say it again
but mine is a toss up btwn Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger

OH!! I forgot about Secret of Mana. Tight Game. :D
-
It\'s better than the Secret of Evermore crap.
-
There are so many great games, here are mine (I have to put it into category otherwise I will not be able to choose which is best):
Action Adventure: Resident Evil 1 (Classic)
RPG: FFVIII (Because I am still trying to beat it)
Platform: Pandemonium (Very Underated), with Manic Miner not far behind (Good Old day of pure gameplay)
Puzzle: Bust & Move 4 (2 player fun)
Racing: Need for Speed 4 (I love the need for speed series)
Sport: Tony Hawk Skateboarding 2 ( Think this would be No.1 if I had to choose best of all)
Millecious: Music 2000 (Rocks - Excuse the pun)
I cant wait for the next generation systems to bring us all they have promised!!.....if not, I will just go back to these.
-
For me It\'s FFVII with Parasite Eve, Panzer Dragon 1,2 and Zelda: A Link to the past close behind.
-
Punch-Out!! stands as my all time favorite game. I still love it. If I had to give up all gaming except for one game, that would be the one.
-Eik
-
I also thought that, considering i dont understand any japanese, finishing the jap version of Parasite Eve was
quite an accomplishment.

well i thought that Secret of Evermore wasn\'t all that bad - i mean like the way the game is and all the story was not that bad either
i have played a lot worse than Secret of Evermore
-
I mean that Secret of Mana is better. Secret of Evermore was not so funny and tight like the original.
