Title: Short Crazy Taxi Impression
Post by: EThugg on May 08, 2001, 01:25:15 PM
Pretty much as I thought, it\'s exactly the same as the DC version.... which is great if you don\'t have a DC. I really dig this game. I\'d recommend it to anyone who likes arcade games....

What?  It\'s out already?

EThugg, how are the graphics?  Early screenshots showed that the game was heavily lacking in the visual department, so I\'m curious as to how it looks now.

The graphics are adequate, but not great. It\'s appeal lies in its addictive arcade gameplay. I enjoyed the game on DC for a solid 2 months before getting bored with it, and since it\'s identical, I expect no less of this version. Some people will find it tedious and short lived, I rather enjoyed it. It certainly stands out as a decent game in the currently mediocre PS2 library. Certainly in the top 10.

kopking- Please tell others what you don\'t like, so they can get both points of view, and make a informed decision.

My only problem was not being able to smash up stuff reall, like in Driver. Other than that, it\'s a fun, pick up n play arcade game.

I\'ll answer any other q\'s anyone has about it, but I think the game mechanics and such have been pretty much discussed in previews on sites and in mags.

ive done this in other threads, so for more indepth please read another thread. but heres a quick summary of why i dont like it:

I found this game very boring due to its repetiveness, i played it for about 5 mins and iwas bored. There is also real bad pop up on this game and a bad draw distance. you cant damage your car, or other objects. the cars handle to arcadey for me. this game should of stayed in the arcades, its fun for a while but overall i didnt like it, when its a lot of money you saver the time on it but this game is far too repitve. there is probably more reasons why i dont like it but i cant remember them at the moment

Yeah Crazy Taxi is a good game but nothing brillient. Compared to Onimusha it probably give you more gameplay since its replayability is fairly high.

:D I figured anyone who\'s interested has tried the DC version, or read about the details already, so I figured some people might like a quick comparison to the DC version.

Is there a "freedrive" option without timelimit?
