I was looking around playstation.com.au today and spotted some f1 2001 pics. On closer inspection the cars in the pictures were 2001 models and paintjobs. But these were very small pics so does anyone know where some decent sized f1 2001 pics with 2001 car models.

Hows these pictures. Look at the details on this game.  I\'m also waiting for Nascar Heat to come out.    I can\'t wait for this title!! I love F1 racing! Did Porsche ever make a F1 car?   :D

Is this the "Official" game so to speak. I remember Psygnosis published the Official game for PSone. Is the PS2 version (but published by Sony, coz they bought Psygnosis)

The screenshots I just posted is the Official Sony F1. It\'s going to look that good.  :D

I sure hope not, those look like PS shots.  The F1 shots from GT3 look WAY better than those.  They should probably just use the GT3 engine for it.

its out 25th MAy in NZ, so i guess a day or so earlier in UK.
Comes with an interactive highlights DVD of the 2000 season where you can watch parts of the race and swap camera angles- go to the pits etc
Playstation 2 sponsors the Benneton team i think....
and yeah it is the Officially Licensed game. I havent played any of the othe  PS2 F1 games, but this looks to be the most promising

Those pics are too tiny, I have a video from about a month ago of the game on both PS and PS2 and they don\'t look that different.  If they would\'ve used the GT3 engine this game would look a lot better.  They probably didn\'t use it because it was too late to be able to use it, maybe next year they can use it though.

If they used the GT3 engine, they would only be able to have 6 cars.....:rolleyes:

Not true, there isn\'t going to be as much in the bg in the F1 game so they could easily put the 25 or so cars on screen.   Plus, you would probably never actually see all the cars on the screen at one time.
