From EDGE97 :
"PlayStation 2 owners will be delighted to hear that AAA titles are now available for their console, albeit in the form of Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda: Link\'s Awakening. Game Studio\'s Game Boy Color emulation system will enable any GBC game to run on Sony\'s 128bit console via the specially adapted GamePort device. Though unlikely to set the videogame world alight, the opportunity to see 8bit games enhanced through bilinear filtering may be a curiosity too good to miss. The system will retail for £40, and comes with 8 inbuilt games."
GameBoy Color games in high-res and with DualShock rumble support? I\'m up for it. Too bad this contraption kills the whole selling point of the GBC; portability. Sounds nice nevertheless, if you really want to enjoy the games at home.

Yeah I like the idea...although some poo-poo\'d me for it earlier (Aaron:p). It will bring up the resoloution and junk.
Unless your in sunlight the GBC screen blows, so it might be *ok* for a few bucks. No word on a US release:(

Wow! That\'s cool! I\'d like to try it out. :D
-
This is old news but cool none the less. I probably won\'t get it, im not really interested in any of the gameboy games.
-
yea why play a gb game on your ps2, when you can play a ps2 game. gb are okay when you on a drive but come on, who wants to play one on a ps2, when you could be having 128 bits of fun
-
look slike PS2 has an advantage--POKEMON ON PS2!
I bought the first game, and although I didn\'t really like it (don\'t think I got 1/2 thru the game :crap: )alot of people did.
zelda...
Talk about screwing over nintendo (just a little screw, but a screw nonetheless)
-
Hehe. I won\'t poo-poo it for you this time. If you really want to play GBC on your PS2, go to town. :)
-
Why would anyone want to play such crappy looking games on their PS2? I assume it\'s for people who already have the game boy and games cause anyone who buys this adapter so he can go out and buy games too is a total idiot.
I\'m just waiting for an adapter so I can play my old Odyssey II games.

A good game is still a good game. If you have the money to spend, why not play Link\'s Awakening or Donkey Kong Land on the big screen. It\'s the same as the SNES Super Gameboy. You don\'t need one, but it couldn\'t hurt.
Even the prettiest games get old, so graphics and sound isn\'t the only thing worth buying.

If the very talented crew at M.A.M.E. (for those of you who are into emulation) could come up with some sort of contraption for downloading and playing old-school arcade games (70\'s, 80\'s, and a few 90\'s), I would snap it up in miliseconds.
NES, SNES and Genesis also.... BRING IT ON!!!
GBC emulation never really interested me, but it opens the door to further possibilities!!
