it is $299 isnt it?

Xbox info from E3:
The US launch date is November 8th. 600-800 thousand units are set to be available from that day. Retail price? $299. That\'s a ton cheaper than PS2 on launch. 15-20 launch titles are lined up and we\'ll tell you what those are as soon as the various presentations are over.

Why is it saying that it is a ton cheaper then the ps2 launch?

Three hundred bucks at launch and remains that price to this day.

Also, it will (probably) be dropping to 200 bucks at Q3.  I think that they list the launch price as higher, because some stores were price gouging, and getting one on Ebay could be even worse!

Guess what they have changed there info now,seems like they relised that someone ****ed up.
