Yeah, just saw the game.It was amazing.
It was quite thrilling for a neutral person like me, but for you as a fan it must have been heaven and hell :D

I have no fingernails left. I am so proud, the pain of the past 10 years has gone, what a treble, what a team, what fans, and what a manager. First team to EVER win three cups in one season.
Nuff respect to Alaves though, they fought so hard and never said die.

You won\'t believe this Kopking, but...
I was heading home from work on the metro (subway) today, and I saw some guy standing on the platform wearing a Liverpool scarf!!! In Los Angeles, California!!! No sh1t! :) :) :) It\'s weird because NOBODY cares about that sport around here.
I immediately thought of all you football freaks.

u think ten years is painfull i\'ve been a chicago cubs fan all my lifethe havent won a world series since 1908 havent been to the world series since 1947 and have only gotten to the playoff 3 times in my lifetime u talk about pain try being a sports fan in chicago for a day then you will know pain

I really hoped that Alavés could win the UEFA Cup. They fought like champions in every match.
Anyway, i\'m glad for you.
If you think about it, it\'s normal. The Alavés is essentially a second division team.
Well, we still have the Champions League.

Yes everyone is saying that today and using that to somehow devalue Liverpool\'s win. Alaves may be small but they\'re not a bunch of nobodies - Javi Moreno is the leading scorer in Spain and I don\'t think anyone will be calling him a second division player when he\'s transfered to Valencia, Barca, Real or Deportivo this summer. Same goes for Cosmin Contra who\'s a Romanian international. Not to mention Alaves beat KAISERSLAUTEN 9-2 on agreggate, while Liverpool had to beat the Greek Champions Olympiakos (who were in the Champions League and missed out on going to the next stage on goal difference, they also beat Juventus), Roma (still the only team to beat Roma at home), Porto, and Barca all to get to the final.
Good luck to Valencia next week, I hope that final will be as good as yesterday\'s.
jaropkls - it\'s more than the pain of not winning, there\'s so many more factors to it.

Yeah, its a shame but this is a pretty true statement. I love soccer and I love playing it even more. Maybe one day. Hell, even american football had to start somewhere! :D

Alavés it\'s actually a mixture of the original second division team with some new players. Nobody thought they could win the cup, but some of its players had dreamed to play a competition like the UEFA Cup since they kicked a ball for the first time. This is the first time that Alavés is able to classify to the UEFA, so they took this oportunity like their last chance to do something like this. They worked hard, and they worked as a team. That\'s their real strength.
This last match was incredible, but it has been epic since the first round. Even they made a special costume for the competition that had every name of every member of the club inscribed on it.
In these times, where fútbol only means money for the players, it\'s great to see such a thing like this. It has been impressive to see them fighting together to achieve their dream :).
Don\'t care about those who think that about the Liverpool, Lavan. They won \'cos they\'re the best, not only in this match but in all the competition. They defeated some of the best European teams to get to the final, and anyone that had seen it will know that it wasn\'t exactly an easy task.
Congrats to Liverpool fans.

Cheers Falgarok - I was just upset yesterday because a few in the English media were saying how Liverpool were only succesful this year because we were lucky - yes luck had something to do with it, but we also won because we\'re a great team.
