The physics engine for this game will be pretty sweet as well. Rainbow Studious did ATV off road fury and are also doing the Star Wars Pod Racer Revenge game.

I\'ve seen movies and the water effects are fantastic, in clear water you can see the bottom, and the waves that you can create and jump.

hey it looks pretty cool to me - i love jet skis - it will problay be my next toy to get - just a matter of saving my money - but no i forgot i have to save up for a Xbox and GC - dang it was in my grasp

i loved WAVERACER for the N64 (one of the man reason why i bought one).

and by the looks of things i might buy this if it\'s as good as it look.

As ooseven pointed out, Wave Race was one of the best games for the N64 (only others that I cared for AT ALL were Goldeneye & Perfect Dark).  But the environments in Splashdown look absolutely stunning (sorry samanvahedi, I don\'t share your "ho-hum" view but to each his own).  And as ddaryl pointed out, Rainbow Studios did n-o-t-h-i-n-g poorly in their effort with ATV...add to that what they might have learned with the physics engine of the PS2 after their effort with ATV and I can\'t wait for this game to make it to the store shelves!!!

Nice, but they could have done a little better with the wake and water effects. How far along is the game in development?

BTW: Anyone hear anything about a new Jet Moto game? I want one sooooo bad, but only if it\'s developed by the guys from Singletrac. (Chalk up another series that 989 totally fu*ked up.)
