Looks identicle to the DC version. And because I bought Grandia 2 when it first came out for the DC(6 mounths ago or something) I dont think I\'ll be getting this one.

Don\'t even think about getting this game, just get it!

IMO, its one of the best RPGs ever. It\'s gameplay is unsurpassed and it\'s story line is marvellous. It\'s a must have for RPG fans, it\'s extremely addictive, and it\'s completely original.

If you own a PS2 then I strongly recommend you to get this game.

This game was truly beautiful on DC. Hopefully Game Arts can get the textures as nicely done as they were on DC.

But overall, thise game is no Grandia successor. It is only about 25 to 30 hours and while beautiful, I think the storyline was not so good. If you want the best 128bit RPG out, go get Skies of Arcadia, it runs about 70 hours if you do everything and I promise it will be to your every enjoyment.

TOOO MANY GAMES TO GET

this really does look pretty funky, but graphics are not what makes an RPG  (FF8 is testament to that) you need a great storyline and greaty gameplay...thats why...this is a must have

i just hope that it runs at 60fps...and if they port Skies of Arcadia to PS2 they fix the annyoing every second you fight syndrome..and the long pause in the fighting scene..

For once I agree with you jumpman.  Grandia 2 is one of the best rpg I\'ve played in a long time.

Is it just me or does that look exactly like the DC version?

Altered, Skies and Grandia were both real good but I had to give the nod to Grandia because of the battle system. BEST. SYSTEM. EVER. :D

this seems to be a straight port from dreamcast.  I think one advantages dc have over ps2 is that it run in 60hz progressively (unsure) while ps2 version might runs at 60 interlaced.  Again i just judged by the pics.  anyway, ps2 obviously have some other advantages like faster loading...

Im still working on the DC version, its a great game, probably one of the best RPG\'s to come around in a while, if you dont have it for DC this is a must buy.

ooseven likes RPG\'s

this one will only add to my potential collection of RPG\'s on my PS2....

but one question to you Jumpman, i know it\'s not the be all or end of for RPG\'s but how long is it ?

I take it is the usual superb 35 to 40 hours of gamplay, that makes playing RPG\'s soo damn fine..

I guess people just totally avoid my posts t all costs. The game takes about 20 to 25 hours. a few days if you get really into it. :D

*If you have a DC, I would highly recommend getting Skies Of Arcadia over this, at least rent before you buy, as this game seems just easier in all respects.

The game is easy if you run into every enemy and pump up your level but if you just coast through the game like I did then some bosses are actually pretty difficult and may require multiple attempts at beating them. Grandia 2 ownz Skied Of Arcadia IMO.

25 to 30 hours but it\'s really worth it.
