Reading an article at Gamesen.nl ( I won\'t even bother to link because it\'s all in Dutch language ), it seems that Sony took a swing at the media in their press conference at E3.
Gamesen reports that Sony said that the media had been constantly dissing PS2 and stuff like that. To make
matters worse Sony bored them with powerpoint presentations on bussiness results about how they still
ruled in the gaming industry.
This is kinda what I read here in Europe. So it actually looks like ppl are getting fed up with Sony and hail Nintendo as the new King of gaming.
So I\'m justing give U ppl here on the forum an impression of the European/ Dutch state of mind on E3.
But as Bobs Hardware was saying, Sony has a fairly good show up till now, but Nintendo is stealing it cause
they have the new NGC.
CONCLUSION :
So if Gamesen.nl and Power Unlimited (Dutch gamemag ) are right I should throw out my PS2 now and get NGC.

all the dutch game mags and websites suck donkey balls IMO .PU? haha LOL thats the most crappy mag ever! Sorry i just had to say this. PU kan z\'n reviews en nieuws in z\'n reet steken! dont listen to them, they are biased!

Vroeger waren zij immers altijd die de N64 reviews
er bekaaid af lieten komen en PSX was altijd goed.
(destijds had ik zelf een N64 )
Nu kan Nintendo niks meer fout doen bij PU. En bij alles
wat ze over Sony en Ps2 schrijven, \'proef\' je gewoon dat
ze vinden dat de Ps2 zich nu maar eens moet gaan bewijzen. Misschien komt dat ook omdat Kees en Bas niet meer bij de redactie zijn. Jammer. Net nu ik een Ps2 heb. Trouwens waren veel van de NGC gamepresentatie\'s nou realtime of prerendered ?

ik ben het met je eens
PU loopt achter met hun ps2 reviews, ze hadden SSX, madden en Fifa allemaal 2 maanden te laat gereviewed, en maar klagen dat ps2 geen goede launch titels had :rolleyes:. Ze waren eerst ook anti dc, maar later? waren het allemaal dc fanboys. Ik vind het echt jammer dat kees, bas, bjorn enzo allemaal weg zijn :( . Boris en skate zijn de enige die nog redelijk goed zijn , de rest = bagger!
hun nieuwe layout van hun blad is echt om te lachen :laughing:

De meeste van de Gc titels waren in pre-rendered CGI (metriod, raven blade, Donkey kong racing). Waverace (realtime versie) zal er lang niet zo goed uit al de spaceworld FMV demo

oh we are bashing the ignorant and biased dutch Power unlimited mage mag. They have become pure NGC/xbox fanboys (they used to be anti nintendo).

I still look in the P U mag when I\'m at a shop or something. It\'s just a bit saddening if you own a PS2 and live in Benelux ( but thank God the\'re also some fairly good Dutch PSX/ PS2 mags like Playnation.
But to top it, Sony itself does indeed make it worse by delaying alot of games that have been released in Japan and America ages ago. Onimusha, Ring of Red ( released at Replay shops ? ) Bouncer, Starfighter is also just released over here. Real shame.
Maybe it\'s just me thinking the grass is always more green on the other\'s side.

I think it\'s a little rash to label Nintendo the winner in Europe just because a few journalists were bored at Powerpoint presentations. It would mean something if the BBC was declaring the PS2 the anti-christ, but a few reporters hardly represent the opinions of the entire European media. Besides, good games and more importantly, their sales reflect the success of a console, not the media.

PU always pulls this crap, they always seem to have double standars. I can clearly remember how they praised the ps2 to heaven (a year and half ago) and they were anti Dc and n456. look what happened now? They are fanboys against ps2!

You read the preview of Jan on Onimusha ?
He kinda starts that it\'s all good and stuff, but he
immediately states that this game will hit NGC soon
and probably look better. Nice way too start a PS2
preview huh ? ( BTW this Jeroen they have seems kinda Sony positive though ! And J.J. is still mad at Sony for "hyping up
PS2 so much" ) I, myself haven\'t seen much PS2 hype here in the Netherlands, so what\'s the deal ?
About Gamesen.nl : I believe Niels \'t Hooft is at Playnation, isn\'t he ? And then there\'s Jurjen Tiersma
who is at N-magazine. I think Gamesen.nl tries to be an
unbiased multiplatform site, but if you read their members\' comments you\'d think you see Nintendo Zealot.nl ! LOL
Btw . They still keep nagging about the jaggies on PS2.
Let\'s see P U next month. Maybe they will say all NGC presentations were realtime. \' Everybody in Benelux will
take that as being the truth ! \' :rolleyes:
Though I must say Nintendo has a good show with some
quality content. (I hope Rare will someday make a new Bond game instead of PD.)

well, all I know is that ps2 sucks ass, but I stopped reading that magazine months ago, back then in the ps1 era they used to be quite good with reviews \'n\' stuff.
btw do you ever read op2m benelux?
those stupid Belgians are the bomb, they make such stupid articles that it becomes funny, hahaha, there\'s a nice demo shipped with it though

I found out something interesting. Do you guys know that Nintendo has a whopping 85% market share when it comes to consoles in Canada? That is a shock to me. I thought Sony had every continent on lock.

I remember some contravercy over that a few months ago. It\'s true, depending on weither or not you consider handhelds into the factor. Nintnedo game products do own about 85% of the canadian market, and probably around that much in the US, Japan, Europe, and anywhere else the Gameboy is popular. As far as home console goes, the ratio is more around 53-60% (Sony) 34-40% (Nintnedo).
I saw on Gamespot that the Gameboy and GBC owned about 99% of the worldwide gaming market. Not bad for a 10 year old 4bit machine. I\'d still like to see some competition to keep the market fresh though. Drop that percent down to at least 80% (Nintnedo) 20% (Someone else).

BTW for all the ppl who had probs with their PS2 due to
keepning it vertical ; I haven\'t till now keeping it vertical,
hope it stays that way.

gewoon ineens, ik had een dvd-tje gehuurd, en toen ik hem erin stopte, makkte de ps2 een raar geluid en hij laade de dvd niet, daarna laade hij geen enkele disc meer

dat is dus ff vet kut joh! Ik heb zelf een import ps2 (al een jaar) en dar heb ik nooit maar dan ool never ooit een probleem me gehad. Nu speel ik games zoals RE:CV en GT :D ik heb dit ding altijd vertical laten staan en nooit een probleem gehad.
maar ja die PU is vet kut vind ik, ik heb de nieuwe editie nog niet (ik nog woon in singapore :() dus die moot nog ff opgestuurd worden. Maarja in het begin waren ze ook heel positief over de n64, maar later zwakten het een beetje af.
oh ja succes met de reparatie, je hebt wel mazzel dat je een van de 10 mensen in nederland bet die eigenlijk een p2 heeft ;)

Regardless of what any Dutch or European Nation magazine says SOny is King
SOny has been dissed in some news publications and sometimes they deserved it other times it was just a case of stupid journalism
But regardless anyone who\'s been following this last week of events can clearly see SOny is here to stay and will be very hard to beat
to be honest Knotter8 WHos getting fed up with Sony besides those people who are fans of other systems ????
How can anyone be fed up with all those games and the huge amounts of 3rd party support ?????????

Nog een laatste woord over PU. Ik vind de nieuwe layout zelf wel mooi, alleen jammer dat de inhoud achteruit holt !
En inderdaad. Ik ken niet zoveel mensen in mijn buurt in NL die een PS2 hebben. Mensen vinden het blijkbaar te duur , die 999 piekies. Ik hoop dat die prijsdaling ook hier in NL goed doorzet.
