I believe these are high rez in realtime like IGN\'s David Z said.
I\'m not a huge platform gamer, but it sure looks good.

Well, of course they look better, they\'re extremely small(when compared to the ones that were posted earlier)!
BTW:Where\'s the shadowing in those pics?
-
Why do I sense a wink of  in your comment Jumpman ?
(c\'mon dude this game looks awesome. Another proof PS2 Can do graphics) ( jaggie-less, insane polygon count and so on. It can only get a teeny weeny less sharp on a TV....)
As for the missing shadows... I\'m sure they will put in something satisfying when it\'s finished. Remember it\'s a big game... Solid Snake only has two spots of black/gray at his feet most of the time in the MGS demo.

Sorry, but if I didn\'t mention it then someone else would of. It\'s the truth.
Smaller pics= higher quality.
-
Yeah jumpman you are right smaller pics does mean better quality, but that game look sweet,it will be great.
-
The scope of the game amazes me
To be able to see things happening on the horizon and actually be able to travel there and interact with it is one of the things we all looked forward to in next gen gaming
I never noticed the lack of shadows I wonder if they will add them in or if it will remain shadowless ?????
Not a big deal to me but probably would give the game a nicer look with realtime shadows as well
-
I don\'t know much about this game yet (except that the pics rock)...but its brilliant environments and general platformy engine reminds me of a great PSX game: Pandemonium. Makes me wonder if Pandemonium will make it to PS2...or if it needs to, cuz again, Jak & Daxter looks to be awesome!!!

Sharp & Crispy? Try tiny and blurry. I\'ve seen MPG\'s with more appearant detail than these pics. Thanks for posting them, but the title to this thread is very misleading.
I did see some pretty good quality .MOVs of this game over at IGN, and let me tell you.. these pics do NOT do the game justice. You have to really see it in motion to get a sence of just how well built this game really is.. expecially in the animation/movement deparment. I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen a game with characters that move so well and accurately as in this one.
As far as shadows go, I\'m sure ND will add them later. After all this detail already I can\'t see how they\'d overlook something as obvious as that. They probably just didn\'t have enough time to program them in before the show and knew that crappy last minuite placeholders would just degrade the look of the game.
Platformers really don\'t interest me that much.. but I\'ll definately have to rent this one just for the eyecandy if nothing else. :D
BTW: How is this game possible? I thought the PS2 couldn\'t handle any more than 4mb of textures. ;)

These pics do look good.
and Jumpman,do keep in mind that this game is far from complete. They proble haven\'t added proper shadowing yet.
And wasn\'t there a whole lot of talk about upping the poligon level??

I thought that too:)

in my poinion those pics do look good, and i think there will be shadows, i heard somwwhere that this game is running at 19 MPPS @60 fps... that is awesome.
-
Now this game looks excellent! Preety cool graphics. I hope it\'s a long game. I love platform games, but I have to admit I got sick of the Nintendo 64 platformers. This looks totally different though. I\'m looking forward to this game!
