Yes, I\'ve decided that once Legacy of Emotion is released, it will need its own website.  It will hopefully include the following:



That\'s basically it.  The only problem is,  I\'VE NEVER MADE A WEBSITE BEFORE!  Now, seeing as how I really don\'t have the time to learn, I\'d like one of you to help me.  I would be responsible for taking care of all the things listed above (i.e. writing the walkthrough, posting the screenshots, etc.), as well as the site\'s graphics, and whoever decides to help me would only have to set it all up on a spiffy little site (free-hosted, of course).  Now, since I\'ve never done this before, I don\'t know if what I\'m asking is a lot, but I hope someone with webpage design experience will step up to the plate.  If you are willing to help, and you promise to do your best and follow through with the task until the end, then there will be some kind of money-less reward in store.  If you have any questions, please post them here.

Sure, you can make the site.  I\'ll talk to you over AIM sometime and we can work out the details.

I can help as well.  If you are really serious about this, maybe you can make a better messegeboard than that easy board stuff.  It might be worth your money to go vbb.  Also, see if PSX2central will host your site... aka...

A forum?  I never really thought about that.  Perhaps if LoE gets popular enough, then it would be a good addition.  I\'d try using an Ikonboard first though, before trying vBB.

Yeah, just use an Ikonboard, it\'ll be good for the situation. I can help you install the board (I have experience with setting up those bad boys ;)).

Suggestion for webhosting:
Use http://www.f2s.com. They\'re awesome - no ads on the pages (not like Geocities, homestead, tripod and all that other crap - stay away from those sites!). They give you 20 megs (more than enough for most people) and there are support for php etc. It\'s completely free of course, I can only recommend it. The site name would be (for instance): http://www.loe.f2s.com.

BTW, if you need any help with taking screenshots, making webpages or graphics, just give me a holler.

Luke:  An introduction page would be pretty cool.  I\'ll PM you once things start to come together, and we can talk it over.


Samwise:  Thanks for the link!  That web host looks like it\'s pretty cool.  Of course, Solid Snake 88 is heading the page design, so I\'ll have to ask him if he\'d care to switch.   And I\'ll contact you later about the forum.  I\'ve never actually set one up, so you\'d probably be a great help.

"The One" Billy Gunn:  Yeah, a team would be nice, especially one for the webpage.  

Weltall:  You never fail to amaze me with those graphics.  If you want to lead the graphics "department,"  then feel free, because you\'re more talented than I am with that kind of stuff.  Just tell me and I\'ll add you to the staff.

I can host your site.  50 megs of bannerless free space with a pretty decent server.  The only problem is that the url will be a bit long, but the space and the BW is what\'s important.  I can pull 120k from my own site.  PM me if you\'re interested.

Well 50 megs sound nice but for the moment we\'re being hosted by F2S, which has no ads anyway. Since F2S doesn\'t allow the storage of .exes, .zips. or .mp3s we\'re going to put the actual game on our Tripod server.

But if 182Ways wants to switch to your site, I\'ve got no problem with that.

Other than that, I suck at building sites...I can get you some people to play it though....

Heh...sorry, BG, but we\'re going with Ikonboards.  If you\'ve used them before, then you\'d know that they\'re great, with plenty of features that don\'t come with a price.

Ikonboards are just as good as vBB and UBB.

@182Ways, I thought we were using the Tripod server to host the actual game file?
Don\'t worry, we\'ll keep the website on the F2S server, we\'ll just use the Tripod one for the game file.

Samwise is in charge of the Ikonboard. He\'s the one who has the files after all.

BTW how many and how big are the files for the board?
I\'ll make a folder called "forums". Upload them to there ok?
Or wherever they need to go, you\'d know better than me.


P.S. The server seems to be down for the moment, lets hope it gets back up again soon.
