Lol. Who are they to say this crap? The Xbox isn\'t out yet!!! Innovative games? They
just have Ps2 ports, and games that are coming to Ps2 as well. Plus a few exclusives
from companies MS bought. This made me not want an Xbox. Lol. When Microsoft is
burned, they always use the word "innovation" which is something they just don\'t do.

Well thats fine, no problem. So you hate windows. Just run all your PC applications on your PS2 instead.
After all, you have all the PC software you could want. PC ports, AOL, Netscape, Flash, Realplayer. Buy a printer, keyboard, and mouse for the PS2 and you are set.
I mean isn\'t that what the real reason for the PS2 is for?

It\'s all right infront of you Ethugg... clear as crystal. light as day. I don\'t always agree with Microsoft\'s buisness practices. I hoped for a breakup LONG before Xbox was announced. Microsoft is not a game company. They are an office productivity company thats attempting to take over all the tech sectors. Just because I bash Microsoft doesn\'t mean I hate the Xbox. Microsoft uses the word "innovate" to much. When Bill Gates responded to the federal court ruling, all he said was "blah blah innovation innovate blah blah innovate innovate innovate innovation innovation innovation blah blah"

1-Sony was not a games company any more than MS.
2-Sony overuses plenty of words too, including innovation.
Give MS a chance with their Xbox. You obviously gave Sony a chance. And XB games do (some of them) have lots of innovation. What Gates\' did or did not say in court has nothing to do with what Allard said in response to Sonys unfair comments.

Sony PROVED to me that they made a good console. So i got the Ps2. Microsoft has yet to proove to me... I got the PSX last. My saturn and N64 were collecting dust. I will give Microsoft a chance. But they have yet to prove to me that they can deliver a great console. If they do, I\'ll get it. but it\'s to soon to jump out of my seat. Microsoft is known for buggy products. they even said that Xbox crashed! this is the BS from Microsoft I am talking about.

Uhhh, XB and the game were unfinished. I was just reading (in PSM or GI) about Bombad Racing freezing. Finished game, finished system. Stop being a hater.

Uhhhh, listen closely fanboy:
1-I\'m talking about before PSX came out. And most non gamers think of walkmans, not PSX.
2-MS has worked in PC games for some time. I dont like any of the games they made, but a few of their games were popular. Get over it, MS has a very promising console and future in the game industry. Obviously you and animal arent early adopters. Fine. But you don\'t have to diss MS every step of the way, when, for the most part, they\'re making good decisions.

You hate MS and you hate Windows? Well, last time I checked no one is forcing you to run Windows and no one is forcing you to buy an Xbox. If you don\'t like Windows, un-install it and install Linux or buy a Mac. Then, buy an emulator or download one, for you can run Windows programs on that OS--because that seems to be what always happens. As for the argument that Windows is unstable, well, thats stupid. Anyone with half a brain will realize that Win2K is one of the most stable OS\'es out there. I am not a fan of Microsoft, but I have used each version of Windows and by far Win2K is an extremely stable OS. Before you sit and complain about Windows you should take in account a few things.
1: Windows is designed with no set platform in mind. What I mean by this, is there is not one set configuration to design for. They design and try to include hardware support for every possible device and keep the conflicts to a minimal. This is no easy task . And there is no way for MS to produce an OS that does this and not have any problems.
2: Alot of problems with Windows can be related back to poorly configured hardware.
3: Alot of problems can also be traced back to third party software.
4: Windows premits alot of people to use computers who would never take the time to learn command based OS\'es, such as Unix.
Moving on to the "innovation" comments.

Do you seriously think Sony doesn\'t blow "smoke up your ass" (to be blunt)? Every company does this. "Innovation" is a keyword, catchphrase, that attracts attenion and looks good on paper, therefor public relations people and others use it constantly when reffering to their product. Sony was not innovating the industry when they released the first Ps. There had already been cd-based systems. They didn\'t innovate with the PS2 either. Sony would have you believe that the complicated design of the PS2 is "innovate", yet no one considered it "innovate" when Sega done the same thing with the Saturn.
As for innovated games, well, we haven\'t seen any of those either. Project Ego is as close a fresh and original idea and its for the Xbox. Now if the finished product is as original as they say, that is anyones guess. But on the current PS2 list there is nothing truly original.
You are right about one thing though, PS2 ports. Microsoft is messing up there, but they really don\'t have a choice. Case and point:
Onimusha being ported over to the Xbox, yet Onimusha 2 is in development for the PS2. The reason for this is obvious. Capcom is porting over Onimusha, to see how it sells and if it sells well enough to warrant "true" interest into Microsoft\'s console then we will start to see more and more original high quality titles from Capcom (Resident Evil, anyone?) exclusive to the Xbox. Capcom is also throwing out Dino Crisis 3 to the Xbox, one of their "lesser" franchises, but still, a original game. If both these sell well, I think you can expect full fledged Capcom support.
Another game is Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2x. MS seems to be "happy" with getting this title, yet Sony has Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 in the works. Not a good thing.

Wow. An unfinished game on unfinished hardware crashed. I\'ll be damned, that just makes MS horrible doesn\'t it? Well, what is Sony\'s excuse for buggy games or the many bad PS2 units sold already? This has been stated in a previous thread, that plenty of people have had games just lock up / freeze on them . These are FINISHED PS2 games freezing / locking up. What about the many PS2 units that have been reported in the main forum for being buggy / defective? If we can sit and complain and nag about how an unfinished Xbox game crashed, then it is only more then fair to complain about finished PS2 games, being sent to the market, being bought , and then freezing up on the gamers.

Really? Cause to me, it\'s the word "Reveloution" that springs to mind when talking about Sony\'s overuse (exaggeration) of words. Granted, the PS2 is a reveloution in terms of archetecture and perhaps online content if they revive the Virtual Society project on the PS2... which I think they eventually will. But the PS2 is still a game console.. something that hasn\'t been reveloutionary since the 1970\'s.

Sublimesjg-I disagree. I havent heard Allard or any MS people (Lanning doesnt count) diss either console. Nintendo and Sony are the only actual companies taking shots at the competition. The \'worst\' thing Allard said is \'We already have games that have surpased PS2\'. While that may be a exaggeration, who knows what they haven\'t shown? Maybe they do. The point is their hardwares better, so there will be games that are better than PS2. They do have some innovative games. They are at worst slightly exaggerating their accomplishments. Both Nintendo and Sony are outright lying. I think... no... know they are scared of MS, as MS is poised to pull a Sony and change the landscape of the industry.

Sony needs to get their logos in check. The have PSX logos on ads in magazines for games that are PS2 only.
Microsoft is/was/will be full of crap. You want to stick it to old Billy? Don\'t buy Windows XP.

Exactly, L-I-C. If you\'re too lazy to try and learn Linux, then you have no reason to complain. The Dual Boot option allows you to keep windows for the few programs that can\'t be emulated, and for friends and family members who may actually like Windows.

Exactly. That is what annoys me about people who just sit and complain about Windows.
