what make is your guitar? eletric or acoustic? how long have u been playing? what kind of music do u like to play?
I have a Gibson Epiphone, electic, ive been playing for 3 years and i like to play really heavy stuff. how bout u??

Sorry , no guitar here man. But now hearing you like heavy stuff I can do a little shameless advertising :
I play drums in a metal band(Opposed). Our 2 guitar players are quite good actually. One of them studied guitar and now has a diploma as a studio musician and teacher.
If you like to hear something I´ll mail you a little preview mp3.
We have two CDs out.Just tell me HOW heavy you like it,so I can send you the matching song.
Sorry for being a little bit off-topic but we have no web-site yet, so I had to do it that way.

I have a fender and it drives my parents nuts :D . I usually just play melodys to songs over the radio. I\'ve been playing for 2 years and I\'m pretty good but it depends on what mood Im in.

I am totally in love with that instrument and I don\'t even own one yet.
I am currently working EXTREMELY hard to get an electric and amp.
I can\'t wait...been waiting for almost 5 years.

If you are wanting a guitar I reccomend borrowing a friends Acoustic first. So when you buy a electric it will be a h3ll of a lot easier.

yes when u play the acoustic first it stretches out your fingers and builds strength in your hand because the frets are further apart. The reasone i bought an elecrtic first though is beacause i took acoutic guitar in high school for 2 years then bought my electric.

well i have a Fender Electric and i am not that great - but i am slowly getting better
but like to play mostly Industrail Metal and some older classic songs - even some punk every now and then - i like the speed riffs

I play guitar. I am awsome. My influences are Rolling Stones, Hendrix, and Marilyn Manson.

I play the guitar. I own a fender, not too good at it though...didn\'t practice much since I got so many other things to do.

Good thread, ps2gamer. I play the guitar and I started about 17 years ago. Hrrm, don\'t try to guess how old I am. I still have the first electric I bought in 1984, a Fender Squier that\'s been heavily modified over the years. I also have a 1989 Fender American Standard Stratocaster, a cheapo classical guitar, and my gem, which is a Taylor 714ce. (http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/models/models.asp?id=714ce) They don\'t look just like this anymore. Mine is an older 714ce with the abalone rosette.
Right now I\'m building another guitar with the help of a friend. It\'s going to be a flattop acoustic 6-string in the "jumbo" profile. I\'m using Imbuia for the back and sides, and Sitka Spruce for the top. I\'ve just spent all weekend doing some real labor on this project, and it feels great. We cut the mold using his bandsaw on Saturday, and I spent several hours sanding the Imbuia today. At this rate it should take about 1.5-2 years to finish it.... :crap: This is the first one I\'ve built from scratch, so naturally it\'s going to take a while. I hope to document all the steps in this job and the decisions we\'re making on a website, so when I complete that, I may post a note about it here. Check you all later.

Also i\'d like to ask, if u have an elctric guitar, what kind of amp do u have?

Sorry, I forgot about that part of your question. I live in an apartment, so I can\'t make use of the amplifiers I really want. No Marshall cabs for me unfortunately. I have a small practice amp, but it\'s so crappy I don\'t even want to mention it. What I usually use with my electric guitars is the Korg Pandora PX3, which is a little headphone amp with a TON of effects built in. Most of the effects are worthless, but it is programmable if you have patience.
If I ever buy an amp, I will seriously consider one of the Line 6 "Spider" series of combos. Or maybe the "Flextone" amps.... I\'m not really familiar with all their products, but I played my brother-in-law\'s Spider once and was really impressed with it. It\'s quality built, as loud as you want it, noise free if you want it, and it also has quite a few useful effects built in.
