A quick and spoiler Free FF:TSW review

Artistic/ Special Effects - 10
Outstanding, you could almost call this movie a revolution in film making in this respect. Even if the story was absolute crap, it would in some cases be worth STILL seeing it!
Some parts of the movie are just mind-blowing, you wish there could be an instant replay button!

Audio/ Music - 9
It works, its detailed. But all of its been done before. In comparison to movies of the past that were totally 3d, it turned out very good.

Character/ Acting - 7
Voice acting is "ok"
I don\'t think you will find a award winning performance in this movie for voice acting. But its not bad that its annoying.. except the old guy.. you will find out when you see it

Intro/Story/Ending - 6
A slow intro that seemed to drag on and on. But thankfully everyone is so shocked at the animation that it seems to go by much quicker. Then it starts to pick up with an ok paced to fast paced middle. Then ends and leaves too much open, but fast and the furious was the same way, and was still worth seeing.
However the movie does have its moments that should not be overlooked in this review.
There are some twists that were appreciated and helped to keep any slow portions of the movie more exciting.
I don\'t think the majority of the people are going to care because this movie is meant to be more action then story oriented. The story is much better then the majority of action movies, and for that it deserves a thumbs up... But its also not as fast paced as an action movie leveling it out. The movie needed to decide if it was an action movie, or a drama.. but if you looked at its genre, it really had no classification in the first place. To some it will appeal to, and it some ways it did to me.


Its sad to think with a few changes to the story it could have been fantastic. The characters could have been animated better. But it’s amazing to think this is the first attempt at such a movie and it turned out the way it did. With a few more changes, this could have been one of the best movies out there this summer... But as is stands its just a movie worth seeing. I hope its not overlooked.

Overall score - 7.5/10

Overall score 8/10 if you have never played Final Fantasy and did not know what to expect.

It gets my recommendation,

I guess I don\'t believe in other people\'s opinions of things. You may be right...now I have to go see how the voice acting quality myself... You\'ve been gone for a while, dude. And your old pic is really awesome. It\'s what a lot of people remember you by. It\'s like a trademark...ya know??

I saw the movie and am sorta disappointed.  The movie seems like a cross between Titan AE/Resident Evil and FFVII.  And one of the characters was a cross between Neo from the Matrix and Seifer.  But was really annoyed me was the constant similarities in the story between FFVII and Titan AE.  It\'s not a bad movie just not the blockbuster is made itself up to be.  You should still go see it though.  One last thing THe commercials and trailers are VERY misleading.
