A new scart cable PAL users might find interesting

Ok i\'ve wondered why someone hasn\'t done this before. Anyway a company called Blaze has released a scart cable which in normal mode is full RGB. However theres a switch on the scart meaning you can change it to composite type signal sent through the scart lead (like what you get when using composite cables and scart block supplied with PS2).

This basically saves you from changing cables everytime you want to watch a DVD movie.

The cable can be seen at the back of PSW and is £14.99.

Touch wood my PS2 has been fine. However I heard of someone pulling the cable out once and the actual copper piece in the PS2 console came out. Ever since then the cable was really loose.

Sometimes the cable is hard to pull out and requires a good tug, so it does make me worry incase im causing some major wear and tare to my PS2.

Oh yeah, one last thing, Datel\'s DVD Region X disables the greenscreen of RGB scart without doing the one wire modifcation. Therefore true RGB signal can be used for DVD without invalidating your warrentee (old news that one though). I might get this product just for that feature alone.

you might as well spend £19.99 on dvd region x, it gets rid of the green screen with scart leads plus you can play dvd\'s from any region

Yeah it has stereo outputs.

I think you need to disc swap with Region X Disc to disable the greenscreen.

you have to input the codes to disable the green screen first time you use region x ( you can get these from region x website, i can\'t remember the url) then all you have to do is load region x select what region you want and swap it for your dvd
