I almost always get stuck sitting next to some kid who wants to talk to me or sitting in front of someone with his feet propped on my head.
I decided not to post my list because I also have way too many DVDs to fit in here without annoying everyone.
Regarding your comments about moviegoing: I am so addicted to movies that I\'ve found a way around every one of those little annoyances like the ones you mentioned Videoholic. I almost always go to the first matinee showing on Saturday or Sunday. All the lazy families go in the afternoon, and the couples show up at night, so I miss most of the crowds. I sit pretty close to the screen. I only go to the theaters with the best projection and sound in the LA area, and for most of them I\'ve found the optimal distance really is the 3rd or 4th row. I like to be overwhelmed by the image.
If I\'m going to a drama or something I have nothing to worry about because the old folks like to sit in the back row. (I\'ve never understood that... if you eyesight is failing, shouldn\'t you sit closer? oh well) If it\'s a picture marketed to kids then I have to sit a little closer because they have less hesitation to sit close to the screen.
Ah Los Angeles is a great city to see movies in. My favorite theaters are the General Cinema Beverly Connection 6 and/or Hollywood Galaxy, Mann\'s Chinese Theater, the Cinerama Dome (whenever it reopens!), the Cineplex Odeon Showcase, and a few others.
