Please read this. I need your guy\'s support.

I had a big argument with this one guy over the net earlier about MGS2. He had some things to say about it, none entirely true, but what really annoyed me was that according to him he\'s already played the final version of MGS2. That its been out in Japan for months, and that I don\'t know what I\'m talking about.
Please verify this for me so I can give him the link and he will hopefully accept that he\'s wrong.

MGS2 is coming to the US first because it sold many more in the States than in Japan, correct?

Its due to be out sometime in October, correct?

Just because a game is made in Japan doesn\'t necessarily mean it has to come out in Japan first, correct?

He said some other things which were false as well, such as "DC is still beating PS2 in the gfx department", "Toyko Extreme Racer (DC) looks better than MGS2", "MGS2\'s graphics are just minorly better than MGS1\'s", and "MGS2\'s game engine is the same as MGS1\'s", but those first 3 ones were the things that really annoyed me.

The whole world knows that MGS2 will come to the USA first and japan later.  He is bull Sh1ting to you. If he has the game, tell him to tell you step by step on each levels and bosses in order.

If I had a friend saying anything like that then I would put him in a choke hold until he admits he\'s wrong.

To summarize what pstwo and Jumpman said and what I think, that guy is an idiot.  Tell him to get off the fanboy train before it flys off a cliff -- killing all fanboys and their stupid beliefs in the process.

Tell him to lay off the bong for the next week or so.  And then, continue with your discussions.

Could your friends be confused as to which MGS2 you are talking about? Although it is a long shot he may be thinking of the MGS: VR Missions for the Playstaton one. It would explain the comments "Toyko Extreme Racer (DC) looks better than MGS2", "MGS2\'s graphics are just minorly better than MGS1\'s", and "MGS2\'s game engine is the same as MGS1\'s".

Altough he would have to be a complete fool.

SS88, don\'t try to prove him wrong.  He should be the one trying to prove to you that he\'s right.  Understand?

I would assume your "friend" is just severely misinformed. It is a common knowledge that most big games come out in Japan first so he probably just assumed MGS2 would follow the same suit.

Just direct him to any of numerous websites and educate him. That is all one can do.

No I said that to him (about VR Missions) and he said he was talking about Metal Gear Solid 2.

Anyway, thanks. This should be enough to convince him.

The funny thing is, the guy owns an internet radio show called 3D Gaming Radio. You\'d think he would know a little more about 3D gaming.
