Here is my mini-review of the package.

Devil May Cry Demo
IT is decent. The graphics are outstanding but the gameplay isn\'t to great. It is rather mindless. You can do different combo\'s and upgrade your weapon, but from what I played via the Demo it was way to simple and easy. Hopefully they will take the difficulty up quite abit, because as it is anyone with twitch skills will be able to beat it. The missions also need to be longer - or I hope they are longer. Some of the camera angles have massive issues. The list goes on and on.

Decent demo. I am not quite as excited as I was before I played the demo. I\'ll still buy the game because it was fun, just not breath taking. That and I\'m a Capcom Whore.

[Resident Evil: Code Veronica X [/b]

RE:CV X is ..Well, not DC quality - I\'m sorry, but it isn\'t. The textures are alittle weaker, in my opinion. Not a lot, but anyone who has played thru the DC version two or three times will notice small things like that. The extra 10 mintues of footage explains some plotholes, like who attacked the Umbrella base, but overall, unless you are a RE fanatic like me, you won\'t want to play through it again just for those 10 mintues of footage . If you have never played RE:CV though, then this is the perfect time to do so.

Weskers DVD report
The Weskers DVD was nothing spectacular either. If you are a RE fan, then you will want it. Otherwise, you can skip it, unless you have never played any of the prequels and want to know how they looked / played / ended. That is all the Weskers DVD serves to do.

Decent package overall, but nothing special

hmm,

The Code Veronica game is not that enjoyable for me,
I do not like the controls... ;)  and of course it looks dated..
I do not enjoy the combat system, IMO it is not fun.

I think the DMC demo was the bomb,
I think it will be in the top 5 best games of 2001 for the PS2.. IMO.
I did not expect DMC to be a super deep game,  I think for what it was designed to do, It hit the mark. I don’t  mind the camera angles, I think they were ok, although I would love to be able to change camera angels with R1 or R2 etc……
I think the graphics are very good, although i would give MGS2 a slight edge there. if you love Castelvania then you will love this game too. :)

RE:CVX
This game looks a little dated, and the gameplay is same old same old.  The sense of fear is not a big as in previous RE games either.  But if you liked the previous RE games, and want to see the continuation of the story, this game is worth your money.

Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry is to RE:CV like MGS2 Demo was to ZOE.  This game is so cool! :)  The gameplay is probably 100 times funner than any RE game.  There is so much you can do with just a sword and a few weapons.  The infinite combos that you can do are very cool.  One thing that I love is being able to jump off the enemies.  You can jump off an enemy, then do a falling sword attack on another enemy.  Or you can jump onto a wall, then jump down to an enemy, jump off them, jump to a wall again, etc.  I\'ve played this demo for easily over 10 hours now, and I still am having fun with it. :)  It would mean more if it was released more than two months before the full game was released, so if you\'re not a hardcore RE fan, you might as well wait 2 months and get the full version.

Well according to Videogames.com the difficulty has been risen quiet a bit and does make the game more challenging. They were complaining that the game is now too hard to beat, but in my opinion making it alittle harder makes it a alittle more funner to me.
Man.. if BookerT lit a fart during a Spinner-oony.. it truely would be the most electrifying move ever..

Just got the game today. Its great (IMO). Same RE controls (which is fine by me). Graphics great, not as great as DMC, but thats another matter.

Now, if you have played the DC version, you shouldn\'t get it (unless you really, REALLY, want to play DMC [great demo on its own]) since its basically the same game, with a few more cutscenes. If you don\'t, and you like RE and would like to continue the RE storyline, go ahead and get it. Plus, the DMC demo is pretty good bonus.

ajoh432,
The way I got through that scene, two ways...
First time I played this section: Knife them to death (the knike may be a POS, but 5 slashes or so would be enough to kill 1 zombie [repeat this with the other zombies]).
Second time through (in case your wondering, no, I didn\'t finish the game yet, I though I ran out of room on the memory card when I tried saving [told me I needed a minimum of 104kb on the memory card when I saved]. To much of my stupidity, it wasn\'t telling me there wasn\'t enough room on my memory card [since I still have a TON of space left], it was simply telling me I need 104kb. Anyways, back to the post): Push them away when they come close, and go to the other door (you will get damage, but not enough to kill you). BTW, ignore the briefcase (you need an extinguisher to get it because of the fire) and proceed through the door. Where you will encounter a shootout with Steve (who mistakes you as a zombie) and you will pick up a gun from a dead man automatically.
