There was a hilarious skit on the radio today.

It was a resort ad for afghanistan asking people to come visit their golf resort.  "Our beginner course has holes 30 feet wide and 15 feet deep"

They went on to say to come visit the newly created Grand Canyon.  5 times bigger than the one in the US.

Nice to see people can see humor in this.  Thank God.

Man this generation of the late 70\'s on down is full of cowards. Man if it came too it yes I would fight. I would run down and hop on that bus quick as I can.  I mean if nobody fights then we will lose our way of life. I hope it does not come down to this because old men can\'t enlist and all our grandfathers and fathers who faught for us are too old to take up this generations slack.

What slack?  Our military is to the point that Clinton wanted it.  He cut our military 40%.  Our military is 40% of what it was when Desert Storm happened.  Is this Gen X\'s fault?  Um, no!!  Thank God we have a republican back in office so we can get the military back to where Reagan got us.  If it weren\'t for Reagan Iraq would now have control of Kuwait and we would have nothing to fight these towlies with.

What the hell are you talkin about man? I am talking about if it came down to having to fight. Are parents and grandparents couldn\'t take up the slack or us who are too scared and spoiled to fight for your country.

Man you got a vendetta against bill clinton. He is gone man get over it.

I\'m trying to figure out this sentence.  You are trying to say that our generation is useless and that the old folk who fought in the previous wars can\'t help us right?  I think that\'s what I gathered from your previous post as well.  That\'s why I made the point about or debilitated military.  You have no idea what our generation can do.   The people in the military are not the losers on the streets smoking dope hanging out at the jiffy mart.  They are well trained dedicated americans.

We just have 40%  less of them.  But at least Clinton was able to make budget.

That is what I am talking about if it came to having to fight which means a draft. I mean back then our father and grand parents had to fight. And went in and done what they had to and was proud.  Now of days if that happen man we would be in deep trouble.

define "deep trouble" there probably wont be a draft anyways. many people are going by themselves on their own accord.

i doubt there will be a draft.

I think a lot of (young?) people have this romantic idea about war. Forget it \'lil friend, war is ugly - it\'s neither romantic or great.

WHich is exactly the reason I am not enlisting ever. I\'m also an only child with flat feet, so the US army won\'t take me. THank goodness.

If you want to go protect your country and get shot, that\'s fine. Just leave me the hell out of it, because if I was in war, I\'d run and hide.

its all what you want, your opinion. i would fight for my country in the airforce. not in any other part of the military.  sure war sucks.
but flying overpowers that tenfold.

Creepy news on CNN site.
_________________________________________

A knowledgeable source said two small knives were found on a Delta flight that was supposed to depart Boston, and a box cutter was found on an Atlanta-to-Brussels Delta flight. These planes didn\'t take off since all flights were grounded after the hijackings. The tools were found when the planes were searched.

Investigators say they aren\'t sure whether the tools found were intended for some sort of innocent use or whether their owners may have had malicious intent. But they say the two planes\' passenger manifests have been checked. And investigators increasingly believe that the weapons may have been prepositioned by accomplices for use by others. As one U.S. official told Time magazine, "These look like inside jobs."
