PS2 Hardware Diagnostics, is it possible?
« on: October 02, 2001, 12:13:13 AM »
Hello,

We bought PS2 mainly for playing games, as it designed to be. But, just wondering whether we can do some sort of Hardware Diagnostics to make sure everything is \'fine\' with the Machine:-)

This as because I used to dropped (not really dropped it:-)) but, to be short, the console got a little abused sometimes as I usually bring it from my home, to my friend\'s house, interstate, etc...

Also, does anyone have any idea about PS2 Hardware Reliability?? Is it really2 a tough Machine? :-)

Thanks a lot for any replies! Have A Great Day! :-D

Regards,

Ivan Adrianto.

i know a LOT of people are having problems with the hardware...having to take it back, get fixed etc.  by myself, ive had it for a while, and ive dropped it, taken it everywhere, shaking it around, and it runs perfectly  :)

No probs with mine yet!  Think most hardware probs were with the earlier machines.

i have no idea but i think there is a 30004 or something like that

the only problems you should have with hardware if at all would be bugs and you have nothing to worry about other then that becuase PS2 is a pretty tought machine i know that first hand
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

mine dropped twice and each time, the fan broke.. 120$ the second time it was free because of warranty everything else is fine, keep in mind it fell 4 feet onto a cement floor  so it took a very hard fall.
IM BACK. you have a problem with that? get in the back.

good question.

drop your pc,something will broke.
drop your dreamcast,something will broke
drop your ps2,something will broke

it\'s like a car.runing in a wall at 150 km/h

with a corvette, viper, ferrari, corrola, there no difference, the car will be completely broken (and maybe, you too)

take care of your console, specially the ps2,which,isn\'t really given
