Turbo charge of LUST !.............
« on: November 06, 2001, 11:58:25 AM »
ok lets have a completely poinless (well it will seam like that to non car fans anyway) drool seation over our dream cars and post pictures of them here for all to see.

For me the Turbo Charger of Lust has to reside within the shapely confines of the Mitsubishi EVO VI

The Engine
Oh oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The Evo VII\'s Engine has an improved Turbo-charger, a larger capacity Oil cooler and Intercooler and the useof triple-nozzle auto-adjust intercooler sprays (which are also manually over-ridable) give the Evo VII the maximum Torque of 383N-m.

The type of Engine is a 4G63 Turbo, In-line 16v DOHC. The Displacement (cc) is 1997 and the compression ratio is 8:8:1. Maximum Power output is 206kW @ 6500 rpm. Maximum Torque is 383N-m @ 3500 rpm.

Fuel Delivery is completed with ECI-MULTI electronic Fuel Injection. Fuel that the engine uses is Unleaded premium gasoline. Maximum capacity of the Fuel tank is 4.8L.

Intresting thread, 007.  Lancer Evo, I love that car too.  As for my sorta dream car, it\'s the new Nissan Maxima.  I say sorta because it\'s the one I plan to buy when I graduate from college.  My real dream car is a McLaren F1 but I won\'t go into that. :)

2002 specs:
3.5L V6 260-hp engine with 246 ft. lbs. of torque
Double-tipped platinum spark plugs
Continuously Valve Timing Control
Close-ratio 6-speed manual (SE only)
Helical limited slip differential
Sequential multi-point fuel injection system
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
Sport-tuned suspension
Independent strut front suspension
Patented Rear Multi-Link Beam™ suspension
Front and rear stabilizer bars
Titanium-color gauges with red pointers and reverse lighting
28/26 MPG Highway
Curb Weights (in pounds) SE Man. 3,224

Several mags have called the new Maxima powerplant as the best V6 ever built.  It\'s also in the Infiniti I35.  Can\'t wait to slap a turbo in there.  Exterior mods?  Maybe a Stillen License plate frame.  Riced out Maximas really turn me off.  Riced out anythings for that matter.

THX, you should read these threads about the Maxima and Altima at the S2000 International forum.  Click here (1) and here (2).  I agree they seem like nice cars with great engines, but I really dislike the styling.  Just a little too bland looking for me.  I don\'t dig the idea of buying a car at close to $30,000 and then having to do cosmetic mods just to make it look original.

I\'m planning to by a new car next year, and the three I\'m primarily considering are (in order of preference):

1.  Honda S2000
FR, 4 cylinder NA VTEC, 240 hp @ 8300, 153 foot pounds @ 7500.  Superchargers have been available for a while, turbo kits are now becoming available!

2.  Subaru Impreza WRX
4WD, 4 cylinder turbo, 227 hp @ 6000, 217 foot pounds @ 4000.

3.  Acura RSX-S
FF, 4 cylinder NA i-VTEC, 200 hp @ 7400, 142 foot pounds @ 6000.

And of course, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution if they really introduce it in the US next year.  There are LOTS of rumors that this will happen. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :D
