Help
« on: October 29, 2001, 11:21:00 AM »
hey, i got my PS2 last november and have been experiencing problems with it. After a while games start stalling up in the middle of the game and i have to restart the system. On the disc white lines appear and they stay there after a shirt rub. I was wondering what i should do and if i need to buy a cd cleaner what type?

Clean the laser inside your console. It also might help to buy a cd/dvd cleaner as it is better to keep your games and dvd\'s nice and clean, thus keeping the laser a little bit cleaner also.

If your PS2 is in vertical position, change it to horizontal position.  The PS2 being in vertical position is the biggest cause of games getting scratched.  And also clean the lense with a lens cleaner like PTB said.

BTW PTB, what ever happened with your PS2?  Is it still broken?

Ironfist, Like i said before, when I called Wal-mart, they told me to come in and they\'ll check it out and see what they can do. Then I called K-mart, they said no,   plus they would of ran the serial number and all that. :rpissed: So I\'ve figured out a different plan. Sell my PS2 to someone in the Green Sheet or something :) with a few extra features i dont need, like a game(Super Bust a Move) and my performance dual impact 2 controller, and get rid of it for say 275. Then when I get the money just buy a brand new one. Then I still have all my other games, still have my memory card, and all my high performance cables I bought. With a brand frickin new ps2, for technically free and I have some money extra to buy MGS2 possibly.

Gotta do what you gotta do eh?
