PS2 Expansion Slot Cover
« on: November 04, 2001, 01:45:54 PM »
Hello,

Just bought a New PS2 System and have a \'silly\' question to ask (maybe:-)).

I found my New PS2 System to have its Expansion Slot Cover \'slightly\' loose. It can be noticed especially when I put the back of the system (where the fan, power switch, etc is located) facing down, the Exp.Slot Cover is \'slightly\' moving down also, but not fell down.

Is it suppose the way it is or not? As I expect not to be for a new system.

That\'s it I think, hope anyway can help:-)

Have A Great Day!

Regards,

Thats weird, cuz mine is solid as a rock, but dont think its a defect, there is lots of PS2 models, yours may have a lock mechanism more simple, or easier to open, it may be meant to be like that  for easy use.

Does it fall when u turn it with the exp slot cover down? if it does, probably its broken. But if you plane to get a HDD, dont even bother, cuz after u plug it in, i think u cant close it, cuz u need to plug a sort of IDE cable connector to the I/O of the expantion slot, and wont leave much room for it to close, unless u smash i tso hard u smash the wires all against the HDD inside :D :nerd:
I |{0me in Peace!
