I remember that very well, it was one of our favorite songs when we were little kids.

Except we didn\'t hear (or understand) most of the lyrics, we just made up our own nonsense-ones.

No.. I don\'t remember that song... (well i do in secret.)   I only remember one song.. This song haunts my songs.

It goes something like this.

"This is the song that doesn\'t end.
Yes it goes on and on my friend.
Some people started singing it,
Not knowing what it was.
and they will continue singing it forever just because.
This is the song that doesn\'t end.
Yes it goes on and on my friend.
Some people started singing it,
Not knowing what it was.
and they will continue singing it forever just because.

Well,  §ôµÏG®ïñD makes a good point.  If anyone bothered to scroll down this far, I\'ll just point out that I HATE that damn Billy Joel song.  What I hate more is baby boomer teachers making their students learn it because they think it will somehow be eduational to memorize random names rhymed together in a song.  If you\'ll notice, the "history" in that song begins in 1945, the official start of the baby boom.  To boomers like Joel, I guess there is no history before that point.

I much prefer R.E.M.\'s anti version, It\'s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).

That\'s great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and
snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world
serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs. Feed
it off an aux speak, grunt, no, strength, Ladder
start to clatter with fear fight down height. Wire
in a fire, representing seven games, a government
for hire and a combat site. Left of west and coming in
a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck. Team
by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing! Fine, then. Uh oh,
overflow, population, common food, but it\'ll do. Save
yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs,
listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and
the revered and the right, right. You vitriolic,
patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty
psyched.

It\'s the end of the world as we know it.
It\'s the end of the world as we know it.
It\'s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o\'clock - TV hour. Don\'t get caught in foreign
towers. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself
churn. Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood
letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no
fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament,
tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions,
offer me alternatives and I decline.

It\'s the end of the world as we know it.
It\'s the end of the world as we know it.
It\'s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

The other night I dreamt of knives, continental
drift divide. Mountains sit in a line, Leonard
Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester
Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You
symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.

It\'s the end of the world as we know it.
It\'s the end of the world as we know it.
It\'s the end of the world as we know it and I feel
fine...fine...

(It\'s time I had some time alone)

Wanna see lyrics to a fudged song? Whenever I hear it... I think of the terrorist attacks on WTC and Pentagon.
.... take the skin and peel and back...

now doesn\'t it make you feel better?

Edgecrusher
Obsolete

Conceived in a hell beyond your depth of perception
Chaotic case of conquering domination
Psychopath snaps fired chains of imprisonment
A bludgeoning force that\'s undermining the government

Inflict strain upon the structure
Collapsing below my pressure
Inflict strain upon the structure
Collapsing below my pressure

Break of the Edgecrusher . . .

The purist, non-conformist, jaded subhuman terrorist
From flesh to steel and blood to blade I fight to exist
A rival of justice, extreme rush of hatred
Survival in a twisted world where nothing is sacred

Inflict strain upon the structure
Collapsing below my pressure
