The thing to consider with the Radeon8500 are the drivers, ATi doesn\'t have a very good reputation when it comes to driver support. The original Radeon was never used to it\'s full potential, the hardware was top notch but the software brought it down.
While nVidia (who have turned into the microsoft of the graphics industry) have a very good reputation when it comes to driver quality and driver support.
