Rally Ausralia
« on: November 02, 2001, 11:41:44 AM »
Rally Australia is on this weekend and was wondering whos going to be watching it. Good to see Gronholm leading and the other Peugeots doing well. It will help them in the manufactures with Sainz and Mcrae having problems. I assume you be keeping an eye on it Stanzo. I noticed you posted over at the HG forums aswell. Do you visit the world rally forum World Rally Forums
Some guy has posted what the Subaru might look like next year if it gets Marlboro sponsership. It looks good but i still prefer the blue.

Only 25 days to go know before the release of WRC 2001:)

It should be good, but I wish that Mitsubishi Australia would enter their Ralliart Magna into the main comps.

Can\'t wait will they do!

Thanks Mclarenman, i was unaware or just plain ignorant m8. i was unaware that you posted there aswell lol.
Anyway, iv\'e been following it rather closely.. both on the internet and eurosport and enjoying it thorouhly.
It\'s great to have someone to talk about it m8. correct me if i\'m wrong but are you at the rally? i can remember
someone telling me that they were going to be there.
Well, it looks as far as the end of day 2 is concerned Rally GB is going to be a very good rally to watch.
Nothing like having a championship open, right up to the end of a season eh?
Ive visited those wrc forums a couple of times but i\'m not sure if ive posted there before.. glad for the link m8
had a serious hd crash a little while ago and lost all of my fav\'s so cheers m8..

Youv\'e probably allready been here but for those who havn\'t

Sadly im not there:(  but i hoping to get there next year. leg 2 has been good as my driver Gronholm is dominating. Personally i thought Burns would have been able to run him a bit closer though. It will be interesting how they will fare in the same team next year. That new impreza has got to be the second best looking WRC around next to the Peugeot of course. But then again i also think the Skoda looks good some my sense of looks is a bit warped.

I love last years Corrolla m8.. seriously, i loved the livery and the shape of the car. i\'m also a big fan
of the 206.. Iv\'e just checked the leaderboard after Gronholm\'s victory...

Colin Mcrae 42
Makkinen 41
Burnsie 40

Looks like an excelent end to the season :0) Rally GB is going to be Awesome. Do you think burnsie can
do it for a fourth time? the odds are against him surely, but be nice to see him win it..

I`ve got to agree with you about the Corolla it was my favourite looking car. There was just someting about it which made it look like the perfect rally car. Probably has something to do with the paintjob. Kinda like the ford, i dont particulary like the shape of the focus but the paint job is excellent. It was good to see Pasi Hagstrom campaigning one in oz.
I have a strong feeling that burns will win the title as he seems to be better than Makkinen or McRae in GB. McRae alot better than most but the last to Rally GB`s McRae crashed out while Burns has gone on to win.
Good to see Gronholm win again. I thought it would be either him or Burns to win down here. Peugeot had a good result so i hope they can hold on to their lead in GB. It`s going to be hard with McRae and Sainz there who both are strong on that rally.
Are you going to go to Rally GB.

Rally Australia was actually pretty good but mainly because it didn\'t rain!  The flies were out in full force as well.
Pre-ordered WRC with a release date of 29th November.   Wohoo....should be good!  And with Colin McRae 3 coming out mid-2002, that\'ll be just perfect as it\'ll probably take me that long to get over WRC!  My PS2 steering wheel is going to cop a hiding....especially in the tarmac rallies! :D
