Being a newbie to PS2, and this forum too, I was wondering about version info:-

How often do Sony upgrade version numbers

What are the latest versions and how do they differ from earlier ones in terms of PS2 performance/functionality

How does one upgrade their PS2 when Sony release a new version

Anyway, my version info. reads as follows:-

Console: SCPH 30003
Browser: 1.20
CD Player: 1.20
PS Driver: 1.10
DVD Player: 2.10E

the only upgrade that sony has had was when the DVD dremote came out...you got a disk and the remote.....you need a save slot on your memory card to save the upgrade on.....it isnt flashed into the main board like your Bios on your PC is
