Japanese Xbox launch predictions

I would suspect Mr. Gates is hatching a diabolical plan to poison the the water over there that will turn all the little boys and girls into Microsoft loving zombies.

That is why my predictions is the XBox will be number one in one short month.

I think that xbox won\'t sell in japan. Who wants an american console there with all the technology and great games that gamecube, ps2 offer. I don\'t think the fact that it plays dvds will appeal them very much...

All good points by all.  The Xbox just doesn\'t seem their style.

Knowing Microsoft they\'ll bundle it with Windows or something.

Well if it doesn\'t work out, Microsoft can just repackage it and sell it as one of those low-sitting dining tables that Asian people use.

well i can\'t see to many people sleeping out for this one not for the reason of they don\'t like it but they just won\'t be able to take the thing home without a truck.

I dont think it will do very well because:

It is the last consloe out in the generation over there. It will do ok, but it wont beat the GC and PS2. And thats not because its a bad console. It probably is a damn good consloe. I just think that its too late to win in Japan for the xbox

I think X-Box has better hardware than both PS2 and GC...and great games will come too...what\'s your point?

yes thats what I meant, really it is hard to get around because most of the people can\'t speak it or are scared to do so, but they seem to udnerstand you and they will try to help you if needed.
