Thats so different, Watchdog said some things from Super Metroid can\'t be done in a FPS, thats all he said, while AJOH just guessed on how he would like the game, and guessed on what games he would and would not like

I stand here today and say that Metroid Prime will be a FPS and nothing more.  I\'m sure it will be good, but it won\'t be Metroid.  The new Metroid is being developed by a different company and has turned from a 2d side scroller to a FPS.  If you have played the original and have an ounce of common sense you know that it can\'t capture the same game play.

I love FPSs, I\'ve played nearly every one and a good number of mods.  Are you telling me that 3d Street Fighter is the same as the side-scrolling one?  You make sacrifices (and make gains) when you go 3d, and those sacrifices cannot be overcome.

This is simply Nintendo cashing in on a franchise.  I gather they are also making a traditional Metroid game, this is good news.  But to call a FPS Metroid is like calling an RPG Grand Turismo.
Language services three functions. The first is to
communicate ideas. The second is to conceal ideas. The
third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

wait until Jet Set Radio Future comes out, then the Xbox will get plenty of play.

You make a good point. JGR was my favorite DC game, so I should get a lot of enjoyment out of this one.

PS2 was like that for me, too, for the first few months. Until TM:B came out I didn\'t play it much; then I got a huge number of great games all at once. Maybe Xbox will be the same way; who knows.
