Namco\'s first US Xbox title will be a conversion of arcade racer Smashing Drive.

Namco\'s first US Xbox title will be a conversion of arcade racer Smashing Drive.

The game has players racing against the clock to deliver a fare to a specified destination, Crazy Taxi style, taking shortcuts through malls and buildings, jumping over traffic jams, and other maddeningly fast-paced activities. Gameplay will be broken up into four shifts -- early bird, rush hour, night owl, and dusk and wired -- each one offering several routes. There will also be a two-player mode

Smashing Drive should hit the stores early 2002 in the US, with a European release later in the year.

As noted at HBO (not on TV), a writer named John Tynes is apparently working for Bungie. He is writing for a new Xbox game that\'s due out in about 11 months.

The guys over at HBO are guessing it is a game named Phoenix. I do not personally know of this game or where they got this name but, for now, I will have to go with what the guys at HBO think.

John Tynes wrote the following on his site:

Happily, my writing work for Bungie Studios at Microsoft has resumed just in time to help finance this little indulgence. I\'m working on an X-Box videogame for them that is coming out in about a year.

Sweet!!!!!!!  Bungie coming out with a new xbox game this year?  Cool.........I will check it out......pstwo you always deliever the news first.  Keep it up!!!!:)

Think what they did with Halo, just imagine what the graphics should look like on this game, i mean they would have had alot more time with the hardware, i can\'t wait to start to see the screens come through.
Also it is only going to take them 11 months to make a new game, isn\'t that quick? If it does come out in 11 months then the xbox must be very developer freindly.

Well I want to know what about the other games namco already confirmed for xbox that are supose to come out?
