I think the only way you can tell if xbox is doing any good, is to give it the same amount of time as the ps2 has been out, then we will know BUT...I couldn\'t give a damn which console sells more, as long as consoles are being brought, and games too,
which means that the gaming industry keeps growing which means better things for us guys and gals the games, bigger and even better games.

Just thought i should share this article:

Well, it has been one heck of a year for Sony, in fact, the entire gaming industry. With the Xbox and GameCube launching in middle November, the Playstation 2 was faced with some heavy competition, right? Well, sort of. As reported, the Xbox was able to sell 1.5 million units before the end of 2001, with the GameCube selling a respectable 1.2 units. And then there was this one-year old, out of date console with graphics that have been apparently outdone and games that just couldn\'t save such an ancient product. But wait; what\'s this? Hmmm..."The Playstation 2 sells 3 million units in two months". Wow, I guess something went wrong over at Microsoft and Nintendo if they can\'t beat such a worthless console with inferior graphics. Specifically, more than 988,700 PlayStation 2 computer entertainment systems were sold during November 2001 and nearly two million additional units during December 2001. These positive sales numbers shot the PlayStation 2 installed base to about eight million units in North America since it\'s launch 14 months ago.
