I guess it really was the "Final" Fantasy

Square USA is closing it\'s doors.  Kind of hard to spend 145 million on a movie and only make 18 million.  Not too many business models will make that work.

Outside of Enron of course.

I thought they closed-up-shop a loooooooooong time ago.  Why did they wait until now?  Did they actually think they\'d make up for the loss in DVD sales or something?

heh it wasnt even a video game movie - if it had been based on a video game or an actual final fantasy then it would have been awesome imo - i mean imagine ff7 or ff9 with those graphics and a few more twists added in the story for surprise that would have been awesome

Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem, Crazy Taxi.. there\'s so much possible crud still heading our way.

And, btw, personally, I loved the FF movie!

I don\'t really think any video game would make a good movie.  Most of the storylines that don\'t suck are dumb or make no sense.

Let videogames be videogames and movies be movies.

I think instead of Aki Ross at no. 75, it should have been Ming-Na Wen (who performed her voice) on that list.  Now she\'s a beautiful REAL woman.
