GTA4 online?

I found this on a Swedish gaming site..

"Rumours in the gaming world suggest that Grand Theft Auto 4 will be a online multiplayer game, where everyone you try to run or blow up will be another playing cursing at your attempts.

Rumours also say that the game will be played in a real city. Apparently Rockstar personnel has been seen in Miami with cameras."

Ok, before you start hyping this up.. I just wanted to point out that this IS a rumour..
I found it on a pretty big site, I’ve only been there a few times.. Don’t know if it is to trust.

But GTA4 Online would be pretty sweet, don’t you agree? It could very well be the game that kick starts Sony’s online plans.
I just hope they have a single player game as well..

Think about it, every other car that is driving around would be another human player.  Man that would be awesome, it would also make the game extrememly challenging.

It would be pointless; You\'d have one large massacre where you wouldn\'t be able to do anything except Kill or be Killed; and imagine dying to Sniper fire... that would get to be rather bothersome...

I should imagine that the entire game would not just be multiplayer, because not everyone would be able to play it multiplayer. There will probably be a multiplayer free-for-all and a one-player game much like GTA3. I really like the idea of it being set in a real city, not so sure about Miami though. London would be good, but then I\'m from the UK. As long as they dont make it like GTA:London!!!

Ya.. but wouldn\'t it be fun to be the snipers? Just think, you start out the game running to a "safe spot" and just use codes for guns and have a whole bunch of fun... Then you could blow up speeding cars below and say to yourself "Stupid newbie".

But then again... I guess it would get boring dying so many times..

This would be great if it were limited to about 4 - 5 criminal players online & regular computer city population.

You might have missions where you have to pick up stolen goods & everyone else is trying to RAM your car to steal it from you.

or you have to pick up a certain character who is on your "TEAM" and take him somewhere, but others may try to make you think that they are that person only to shoot you when they get in the car.  (This way you have to chat with the person online to try and figure out if they can be trusted)

Also you can use the chat feature to "Page" certain players and give them messages like "Meet me at...." or "The guy who is after you is driving a blue ....."

This feature has great potential if they do it right.

It being online would be kool.  but they still need a single player game

This is the future of gaming folks.  Here\'s another great idea for PS3, is a microphone feature. . .a type of mic that\'s not even a hassle, most likely installed in YOUR CONTROLLER.  It\'d be able to hear the sound of your voice. . then that sound would be going into the video game and you can choose any kind of voice you desire.  If you want ot sound like Robert DeNiro, bingo, speak and it\'ll relay into the game. . .with a Mature 17 rating, hey, it has a great shot and as debatable as movies and the internet.  I could just imagine, you meet someone in an imaginary city, talk to people using your "GAME VOICE" (and they could only hear you according to how distant you are from them) and drive around like crazy.  I can just imagine a dialogue "hey get in my car, the cops won\'t stop chasing you. " Person gets in the car, using his Schwartzeneger voice saying "thanks man, drop me off over there."  Person drops him off, driver says "You know, I never liked that accent." AND YOU RUN HIM OVER! LOL!  Hey Rockstar there\'s an idea for ya.

well my mate plays the origainal ( i think ) gta online and says its very funny, 4 players at once, a arrow point in the direction of the other players, but its up to you to find and kill them.



what i would like to see in gta4, is when you play online you pick a team, columbians, triads etc, one person per gang, as you progress your mission might be to take some one somewhere, but the other player whos a different gang, gotta try and stop you etc!!! lol that would be cool
