sad news for Microsoft. I am wondering if they can possibly do anything to really sell their console overthere. It seems to me most people just don\'t want it - no matter what it has to offer. I am not a fan of Microsoft, but this is very sad.

The whole 1378 people.

Anyhow, we all know the fate of the Xbox is uncertain in Japan, and at this point in time even sketchy, but don\'t assume its death from a survey with ~1400 people.

You guys seem to thrive off bad news for M$.

I honestly didn\'t pay attention. In that case it\'s not that bad then, although I doubt that the majority thinks much different. It\'s no secret how bad Xbox is selling in Japan at the moment.

Hehe... what about that game from Vivid coming to PS2? Is it still coming or did Sony find a way to stop it? :(

Bah they are mostly office zombies er I a mean workers anyway.  Mindless Sony worshipers IMO.  Maybe they polled Sony HQ itself.

In anycase, Japan will most likely be a failure for the Xbox considering Sony has been entrenched there for quite some time.  Frankly who cares about what the Japanese public preferes?  If it succeeds in the US that will more than make up for he Japanese failure.  After all the US is a much bigger market for consoles than Japan.  Sony and MS both know this.  Can\'t say much for Europe either.  No offense to the European posters here.

If you think that both Europe and Japan are small markets, then you really have to do some rethinking buddy.

1,000 is enough to be considered a scientifically accurate survey

I\'ve never been fully convinced xbox success hinges on how well it does in Japan or Europe early on. Telling yes but we\'ll get a clearer picture in another year. My moneys says if sales don\'t soar by then they never will.

"Question: If you don\'t want to purchase an Xbox, which of the following have influenced your decision:

Microsoft Brand - 37%" <---- #1 reason xbox is doomed for third place
